<SiFuh> It's disgusting. Motorcycle are so over-priced here because they want to protect their car industry. They include motorcycles under automotive. They don't even make motorcycles here.

<ukky> zorz: no. My system with Debian has prebuilt binary packages, with the exception of DAHDI kernel modules. But for those I only override build parameters, as default config does not build kernel driver my PCI device uses.

<SiFuh> Usually no. But the tank is old and I'd rather pay 98 MYR for a 2L aluminium box, than buy a replacement for over 270 MYR.
<SiFuh> ukky: Yes. It sucks the water back in to allow air flow. Afraid it will cause a problem with stain on the pump

<SiFuh> When I go to pick up my tires. I will ask if anyone has a drill press to drill a hole for me. I don't want a large hole and they should have some decent drill bits.
<ukky> Maybe install a nipple in the tank, attach small tube and fix it somewhere at the bottom of the chassis.

<SiFuh> It would be easier to drill through the box than the lid. But I think I will just go for the lid.

<SiFuh> Wife's care is regular with soap. But later will change to regular and that anit-wiper stuff that you don't really need to use the wipers for. I can't remember the name. Bottle has been sitting downstairs for 2 years.

<SiFuh> Coolant! Hahaha. I use coolant with anti-freeze. I think the ratio I use is 60 distilled water and 40 coolant
<SiFuh> I just find my engine runs cooler on it than with just distilled water.
<SiFuh> ukky: Here in Asia they just tap water. I am 100% against it unless emergency
<SiFuh> ukky: The rear wiper bottle also needs to be replaced, but I am not bothered with it since the window never gets dirty
<ukky> That tap water from your picture is bad for any system in the car.
<SiFuh> I only use that for the wipers. Everything else is definately never going to be tap water.
<SiFuh> ukky: Many years ago there was a guy down the road that would pay me to wash his Jeep Renegade. One day his wife comes home with steam coming from the bonnet. He was cursing and swearing "Fucking women, they know shit about cars." He was spraying everything with water from the hose and then started filling up the radiator. I just thought to myself "Guess he doesn't either"
<ukky> 50-70 y.o. vintage cars might be okay with tap water in the radiator. Modern cars are not.
<SiFuh> I couldn't do it. I don't the thought of corrosion in my mind.
<ukky> I think water just evaporates, leaving less coolant in the system, and then engine overheats even more, and then you have steam.
<ukky> Special coolant does not evaporate as easy as the water.
<SiFuh> ukky: Last year there was a puddle of purple under my car. Thank goodness I don't use water in the radiator. I guessed it was a coolant leak even though mine is green. The car leaks water from the airconditioner. So I got under the car and saw it. I couldn't repair it. My fat hands (As lavalball would say) can't fit there. So I got some skinny Malay guys to replace the stopper for me.
