<set_> Hello...I have a BBG attached to a board for a CO2 laser.
<set_> how can I test to make sure my power supplies are both used in a smart manner?
<set_> For instance. The terminal connectors are on both PSUs.
<set_> I know for sure what is on PSU 2 but PSU 1 is giving me issues so far.
<set_> The BBG may need to have common grounds from both PSU 1 and PSU 2. I am not sure as of now.
<set_> All I know is this...I have some open lines when testing for supplied logic.
<set_> Would I use a common GND like a large piece of iron or steel to test the open lines or would I need to find a part of PSU 1 that I can use for GND?
<set_> ...
<set_> This is the issue. W/out knowing what reference is my GND, is there still a way to test?
<set_> On PSU 1, I have three (separate) types of terminal connectors. All of which seem to be isolated. So, terminals 1-4 are my Line In/Out and GND.
<set_> Terminals 5-12 are various functions along w/ voltage logic and the firing of the laser outside of source.
<set_> Terminals 13-16 are 24v out, GND, and hmm.
<set_> Okay. I just needed to type it I guess.
<set_> Sorry.
<set_> I may just plug it in and see if I can get testing...
<set_> I have this enormous transformer that I think is used for higher voltage to the laser. This is open for now. Not good...
<set_> Nothing is plugged in. So, this is it. I am trying to configure what exactly can be used outside of the other end of the laser to handle my reference.
<set_> Or...the transformer is cutting back as a buck converter (AC/DC). Whelp, time to sleep on it (one day soon).

<set_> Anyway, no fretting. I will try to figure things out.
<set_> I panicked as usual.

<set_> I worked hard and poof.
<set_> Dogs showed up.
<set_> Anyway, this BBG is not goin' work unless I have time away from family, dogs, and bad ofood.
* set_ says, "Easy like Sunday schmorning."
<set_> I think we just started a war in Italy.
<set_> ha.
<set_> Just kiddin'.

<set_> We just ate at the nicest place in town. Instead of chatting about electronics, I found poison ivy...
<set_> Everywhere! I was goin' to chat about the bbb and newer things in life. All I saw was ivy everywhere.
<set_> People were dressed nice, full of poison, and ready to not mingle. Blah.
<set_> sometimes it is hard to say beagleboard.org.
<set_> I am serious. I typed it and read it and know it as a local name b/c I use the boards but discussing it seems a bit hard on peoples' senses.
<set_> Anyway, I will just stay quiet.
