[Discord] <ptgoodvibept> hello,
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <ptgoodvibept> I'm trying to install Armbian 23.11 Bookworm uefi-x86/ on a BMAX but my emmc doesn't detect me, I've already tried armbian-install but only the USB partition appears, not the emmc of the Bmax, can anyone give me some tips on what I'm doing? do wrong
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <viraniac> Could you share the model number of your BMAX system?

[Discord] <viraniac> I don't see detailed specification listed anywhere. Probably you can try installing debian's default kernel using linux-image-amd64 and see if emmc works for you. Check dmesg, lsmod to look for anything that can help finding out its model or driver thats being used. If its due to a missing kernel config, this will help us enable the same

[Discord] <ptgoodvibept> I didn't understand this part:

[Discord] <viraniac> We compile our own kernel and have our own set of configuration on what drivers to enable on the same. So I was just suggesting installing kernel that debian shipped to see if their 6.1 kernel shows the emmc. If it does then we probably are missing some kernel config that needs to be enabled. To install kernel shipped by debian, you can do `apt-get install linux-image-amd64`.

[Discord] <viraniac> Alternatively, if armbian-config shows a 6.6.x kernel, try installing the same. Its possible that newer kernel might be supporting the emmc

[Discord] <viraniac> You don't have to keep sharing screenshots of all of the screens. After reboot, just capture the dmesg and lsmod output and share it using paste.armbian.com. Post the url here

[Discord] <viraniac> Hmm... can't say what could have caused the issue. Would try to replicate via qemu later

[Discord] <tenkawa42> Its a very obscure machine too (only supports Win10 from the vendor)

[Discord] <viraniac> For now just continue to use from usb. As I see, you have two problems. One is emmc not getting detected. As you were able to see emmc using debian's kernel, I will say we are missing some kernel config. Will try to compare and enable the same later. Installation to emmc is probably broken when using armbian-install. But I have to check using qemu, if thats true or if there is so <clipped message>

[Discord] <viraniac> mething else causing your issue
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <ptgoodvibept> ok, I'll wait for news from you
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> we have some bugs here ... erasing emmc by hand could also help
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> if its detected at all

[Discord] <ptgoodvibept> What commands should I use??
