fbre: Did a `grep -rniI " is not a valid image feature"` in my poky dir, that error message seems to come from /poky/meta/classes/image.bbclass. Perhaps you can reverse-engineer your way back from the error message.

There is no set password so you can’t login unless you have debug-tweaks (or empty-root-password) set, in which case root has no password.

Is there a way to tell bitbake to throw error if some variable is not found during parsing? Right now if I have an assignment like 'FOO = "bar ${BAD_VAR}"' FOO is expanded as "bar \${BAD_VAR}" (note the \ before $. As seen from bitbake -e). No warnings or errors.
