ifreund changed the topic of #river to: river - a dynamic tiling wayland compositor || https://github.com/riverwm/river || channel logs: https://libera.irclog.whitequark.org/river/
<NickH> ifreund: thanks, for the hint about which tar.gz to use. Got it working and there are now river 0.2.1 Debian packages at https://www.ne.jp/asahi/nickh/debian/

<ecocode[m]> does river allow to configure the NumLock on/off depending on the used keyboard ?
<leon-p> no
<leon-p> there is no way yet to set numlock state other than pressing the numlock button

<ecocode[m]> <leon-p> "there is no way yet to set..." <- It is weird that when numlock is on when starting river, it automatically gets turned off once river is started.
<leon-p> river uses xkb for keyboard handling, which is different from the TTY keyboard code and does not share state with it
<leon-p> just as `loadkeys` will have no effect on river as well
<ecocode[m]> ok I understand, still it is weird tho 😉

<captain_chaos> Hi. Once again a question about modes. I can't create mappings within a mode before it is declared. But I can create a mapping to enter mode foo befor mode foo is declared. Is that intended that way? Seems inconsitsent.
<captain_chaos> *inconsistent
<scorpion2185[m]> does anyone got river working with nvidia proprietary driver?
