<ifreund> leon-p: hmm, it seems like github won't let me push to your branch any more so I can't fix it either :/
<ifreund> if you still have your branch locally you should be able to force-push it and then re-open the PR, if not I pushed the code to a branch on the riverwm repo here: https://github.com/riverwm/river/tree/leon-kb-layout
<leon-p> Just force pushed, but github did not pick it up apparently
<leon-p> huh, the "allow edits by maintainers" check-box got unchecked. I think you should be able to push to the branch now
<ifreund> leon-p: hmm, I see the changes on your repo but not on the PR
<ifreund> I think github may be doing something weird because you used your master branch, I think we may just have to create a new PR :/
<leon-p> sure, no problem
<ifreund> thanks

<leon-p> finally managed to find some motivation to write a man page for the stacktile rewrite. That should make it usable now.
<n0r> I've gotten a device with a damaged screen. Is there a way to configure it not use the right x pixels and the top y pixels, but use everything else?
<n0r> * ... it to not ...
<leon-p> configuring your layout generator to ignore that area might be a good start, but it wouldn't help with widgets like bars and such
<n0r> I have no bars. I currently only use monocle from rivercarro, but that means the same amount is lost on the left and bottom edge (which are not damaged).
<leon-p> I don't think any layout generator currently has config options for this, but modifying the code should be trivial
<n0r> Oh no form of coding exept listing shell commands is trivial to my stupid brain :D But I'll just live with it then, I just suspected there might be some output/monitor configuration tooling I wasn't aware of.
<n0r> It is my experiments/spare device anyways, not my daily driver.
<novakane> oh a ping lol, anyway you can at least already set a width to use in rivercarro
<n0r> And then somehow get that modified rivercarro into /nix/store. Sorry, embarassingly I have no idea how to do that :S I keep procrastinating all coding related learning stands in shame corner
<n0r> Maybe in the winter break... maybe...
<novakane> can't help with nix, but can't you just change the code and build it normally? or is this from a package manager?
<n0r> NixOS is declarative. This means no ad-hoc changes, everything is defined by a central system configuration and applied in atomic switches. Integrating custom modifications to packages is possible, but I have yet to learn how. It seems to require a bunch of experience and knowledge I don't have yet.
<XeroOl> Hello! Back in X, there is a program called unclutter, which hides the mouse cursor whenever the user is typing and not using the mouse
<XeroOl> Is there an equivalent feature in wayland / riverwm?
elshize has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds]
<XeroOl> if not, where should I request this feature? I'm not familiar with wayland, so I'm not sure if this request should go to riverwm or wl-roots or somewhere else
<novakane> XeroOl: there is a hide-cursor command in riverctl, see riverctl man page
rodrgz has quit [Quit: WeeChat 3.7.1]
<XeroOl> I don't see that in riverctl 0.1.3
<XeroOl> I can try upgrading to river-git
<novakane> yeah it possible it's not in 0.1.3, iirc it's relatively new
<novakane> oh, not so new, February just after the release of 0.1.3 it seems
