swayidle -w timeout 300 "swaylock -f -i ~/.wallpaper.png" timeout 600 "wlopm --off '*'" resume "wlopm --on '*'" with this config when i close laptop lid swaylock not activated.

I personally set `lock swaylock` and have `HandleLidSwitch=lock` on `/etc/systemd/logind.conf` to make it lock when I close the lid

or you can do `before-sleep swaylock` to make it lock when the computer goes in suspend

err, nvm, I had `HandleLidSwitch=suspend-then-hibernate`. But the point is, you can check `man logind.conf` if you use systemd and care to configure that kind of stuff

tl;dr, look into `swayidle`'s `before-sleep` option

also, just in case you don't know, you would only need to do `swayidle -w` and call `swaylock` if you modify the `.config/sway(idle|lock)/config` file.

maybe you just expanded everything for clarity but figured it was worth making sure

I did a 'man swayidle' and copy pasted that examble in sway config. Since swaymsg is not working in river replaced it with wlopm.
