I wonder how well one could implement fading the displays out. maybe a single-px layer shell surface or something like that.

if anyone else is wondering how to get a basic display-off-on-idle, i added this to my init script: exec swayidle timeout 60 'wlopm --off \*' resume 'wlopm --on \*'
