<leah2>
is there a chip that has Zbe?
<palmer>
leah2: as far as I know there's nothing publicly available, though it's possible some microcontroller-type stuff does an there's a lot of those these days
<jrtc27>
what's zbe?
<jrtc27>
you mean zce?
<jrtc27>
or maybe zbs?
<palmer>
maybe leah2 did, but there used to be a Zbe extension as part of bitmanip. Looks like it didn't get ratified, but some of that stuff ended up in chips
<leah2>
bitmanip pext/pdep
<leah2>
oh, sad

<palmer>
leah2: looks like some of the reason it was dropped is because there's similar functionality in other extensions? not 100% sure, though, as it was a while ago
<palmer>
I guess they went to just the single-bit versions of those, though
<palmer>
loads of folks compalin about it, so there's no good way to do it in the current spec
