<InPhase> I installed a local copy of one of the top recommended local-runnable LLMs. It's actually pretty impressive at the conversational stuff. But... still terrible at OpenSCAD: https://bpa.st/24DVQ
<InPhase> That's a variant of nonsense I hadn't seen yet from an LLM with an OpenSCAD request. :)
<InPhase> Clearly we need to get to work on the new Christmas Tree menu feature of the gui.

<kintel> I haven't seen distcc come up in a long time. I remember it used to be pretty cool back when compilers were super slow ~20 years ago. Xcode on macOS even had an option to turn it on on workstations, making offices mini-compile farms on idle CPUs

<guso78> looks exciting. i am just wondering, how it works behind the scenes. espcially i am wondering, how it actually transfers source code and *all* types of intermediate and final result files between the computers and finally: how to make sure inside Makefile that a file is used before its available on the local filesystem

<joseph_> teepee kintel: I have been clearing disk space on my Windows laptop, installing relevant updates (especially latest GPU driver) and of course the build dependencies. I'm about to be busy for a couple hours, but later today I will check for the presence of rendering artifacts with both master and #4330 using Windows.

<kintel> joseph_ Cool. The rendering artifacts should also be quite visible on Linux
