@kintel no. OBJ only supports slash as separator. i meant to escape the slash but its not needed. the backslash should be removed. shall i create a PR for that or are there easier options ?
<teepee>
guso31: there's no way around a PR, but you can create one by just editing on the github web page
<guso31>
teepee yes i can try that. I don't wont to stay the guy all people are point at :) :)
<killjoy>
Vanna White would be disappointed. Those vowels cost money.
<teepee>

<J23k85>
is there still an issue why roof is not enabled as default ?
<J23k85>
it doesn't harm other things or?
<teepee>
1) open patch maybe fixing some resolution issues
<teepee>
2) deciding if we want to maintain roof as separate function or if that should be combined with offset extrude

<J23k85>
offset extrude is not in the snapshot or?
<J23k85>
from my understanding offset_extrude is a truncated roof (and a better name)

<teepee>
sort-of, it's not really a simple 1:1

but mainly the assumption is that the currently present issues with offset extrude would be solvable using the roof logic (= straight skeleton)

That issue goes way back. It was basically, "Here's an idea!" and "but it has this problem, and would be better if" and "yes, that's a tricky problem" and then long stagnation as no one was interested in sorting out the tricky questions.
