yes white primed and neon yellow nail polish (in theory a filament inlay would be possible too) .. as the ratchets have direction you know what side is up

the paint is applied coarsely and after drying scraped with a blade and sanded a bit .. as the color stay in the groove

does it need a smaller nozzle for those fine groves?

the grooves doesn't care as it is a void .. the side walls that restrict it matter .. but should work with 0.4 nozzle
