<peepsalot> is it me or has the frequency of low quality bug reports/issues really spiked lately?
<J1A84927> thought that too  - but more newcomer is a good sign or?
J1A84927 is now known as J1A84
<J1A84> wild guess - as Printables doesn't have a customizer, people have to use SCAD

<peepsalot> maybe its a sign of increased popularity, reaching a wider audience, but i'm not sure that's a foregone conclusion
<peepsalot> or why it would happen now (or say the past year or so)

<J1A84> is there some stats if the overall tickets increased
<peepsalot> don't think so. there's this, but it only does at most 1 month of history https://github.com/openscad/openscad/pulse/monthly
<peepsalot> you'd have to use github API to extract the information
<J1A84> maybe people just got more lazy and didn't read the manual or try to find a solution - just to easy to open a ticket - Ü

<gbruno> [github] Mstrang5 opened issue #4277 (Not Responding ) https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/4277
<teepee> oi!
<peepsalot> lol, christ
<othx> J1A84 linked to YouTube video "IT Crowd - Have You Tried Turning It Off And On Again?" => 1 IRC mentions
<Scopeuk> We're seeing a lot of what would be my first forum post grade issues
<Scopeuk> The sort of stuff that works well here but not so much on git hub
<Scopeuk> I'm. Not a huge fan of the passive aggressive bots that monitor for bugs with obviously missing details etc but maybe it's nessesry
<peepsalot> there's also the possibility of a pre-defined template to guide them
<Scopeuk> Fill in the following boxes, makes sense
<Scopeuk> I guess most people haven't done enough testing to know we need environment details expected behaviour and actual behaviour to do anything
<Scopeuk> When that's enforced you get a lot of actual, didn't do thing, expected "to actually work" garbage
<J1A84> at least they could provide the case with the problem.. something  like  "Please think how we can replicate your problem to help you"
<J1A84> ok it was "first issue ever" https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/4277  and it strangely had to do with the monitor?
<teepee> yeah, there's a stange issue on windows
<teepee> github has a new template feature allowing for different templates per type of issue
<peepsalot> i even have a dual monitor setup on windows, but haven't been able to reproduce anything
<gbruno> [github] t-paul closed issue #3868 (not responding in windows) https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/3868
<teepee> might be something with 2 gpus or so, no idea
<teepee> or hidpi + normal
<J1A84> isn't there some flag for autoclose 3weeks no activity ?
<teepee> no, but it would be relatively easy to create a github action for that
<teepee> in general, I'm not a fan of such things, maybe except for the case when the issue is tagged as waiting for feedback
<teepee> but that's like 1 per 2 month so I just do that when I happen to have stuff open

<InPhase> You're welcome. :)
<InPhase> I suppose there are still windows weirdnesses with second monitors going on, but that issue isn't the one to fix it in.

<linext> so I printed a labyrinth mold in resin
<linext> two parts that join together with a cavity in the center
<linext> came out pretty good
<linext> i'm going to try injection molding so soft plastic into it
