<Guest17> how can i enable the touch capability on maemo leste rpi3 build?
<uvos__> Guest17: there is nothing speical to enable
<Guest17> so that means i cant enable touch?
<uvos__> meamo is no different than any other linux distro in this regard
<uvos__> if the linux kernel has a driver for your touch controller it just works
<uvos__> there is nothing to configure (besides maybe callibrateing the touchscreen)
<uvos__> if it dosent do anything at all
<Wizzup> freemangordon: great, I just landed after a very long trip with 9+ hours of delay so I will be KO for a bit
<uvos__> you need to look at the usual steps to see why. If its a usb device is it in lsusb? dose it show up in /dev/input? dose it show up in xinput
<uvos__> is there something in dmesg when you plug it in
<uvos__> and so on
<uvos__> but none of this is specific to maemo
<Guest17> uvos__ its a 7inch screen
<Guest17> it uses the raspi display board
<uvos__> Guest17: i know nothing about this board, but it dosent look like it uses usb for the touch controller
<uvos__> if its something like spi or i2c you are going to have to write a dts overlay to support this display
<Guest17> no it doesnt use usb, it uses flat cables
<uvos__> it could be usb over those flat cables
<uvos__> but if its spi or i2c you need to write a dt overlay since those are not plug and play, this however has nothing to do with maemo, but rather a general linux task thats pretty out of scope here
<uvos__> i gues its likely someone provides a device tree overlay for this for rasbian you could find and use
