<Wizzup> your collection?
<maemish_> The ones above are N900s without the motherboars. I can't keep them anymore cause they all the time remind me of not getting the boards back from a maemo member. They are finding a new home to be as spare parts for N900 users. Would prefer someone from maemo dedicated group. Will donate them. They all have filled the organ donation paper. Will not save most of the other devices either. I have already send N810 devices to
<maemish_> forum members as well as N900s since 2018 but few are left. Also now got these N950 protos as well as N9 protos. Will donate a few but will probably sell few. Silver ones are 64gb. One is good, the other not as good but working and that I will donate to a friend.
maxwelld has joined #maemo-leste
<Wizzup> that sucks @ not getting the boards back
<maemish_> The member trzyzet just vanished from all mobile forums and so did the motherboards. I think something bad happened to him. I first thought of tracking him down and started to do it but my mind got too poisoned and finally stopped. Peace of mind and purity of heart is more valuable than even this many N900s. But I hope someone could take these cases with displays from me. There are keypads too for many but many were without
<maemish_> even when I got these.
<Wizzup> okay, yeah, it sounds like they can be used to restore some n900s
<Wizzup> I'd personally be interested in having a n950 so we can make maemo run on it, but it's very niche so probably not great for increasing the community size ;)
<maemish_> So please, if someone thinks he could help from Leste group to take the cases pm me on TMO.
<Wizzup> are the other three N9 ?
<maemish_> Yes, N9 protos. Too works well, one booted only once to GUI and have not been able to even reflash. Some problems with the hw. I can even make it to the file system with ubiboot rescue but can't reflash.
pere has joined #maemo-leste
<Wizzup> I think I have a N9 here so don't need that too much
<Wizzup> but it would be cool if we can use this to maemo leste's advantagfe
<maemish_> So will donate only the N900 cases and displays. There will be some with motherboards which have different problems, some which are probably recoverable. The protos have already people to whom they will go. One N950 proto with two N9 protos will sell to a friend. The other N950 proto not working that well and N9 not working well will donate to forum member. At the moment unemployed so I need to sell the working protos to get
<maemish_> some money.
<maemish_> And I will only donate the N900 cases to members I know from TMO. So if there is just some random guy here who thinks he could make money with them no need to try to pm me.

<maemish_> N900s with motherboards: one with bootloop, atleast one with no calls, some has a lock code and that sort of stuff which I don't have time to try to fix. Will check few more full N900s that they don't have my stuff in them and will include them.
<maemish_> A member from Finland would be best so I can give the storage too and would not cost sending or take time to package.
<Wizzup> I/we could distribute some of these to people and maemo leste pay for shipping
<sicelo> freemangordon: seems to still hang, unless i made a mistake somewhere
<maemish_> I think making Leste to run on N950 is off no use. So few have them and fewer use them so I think it is a wasted time.
<maemish_> But I stop flooding about this and will wait if someone pm me on TMO so I can send them all. Cleaning up my life and these need to go.
<maemish_> By the way, the member to whom I sent the motherboards sent then this info. https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/Uc9UBIr0/1000009841.jpg

<arno11> Wizzup: i tried to remove the 'hide_callerID' stuff from calls and it works now in ofono dial-number script. The trick is to set hide_caller ID "default" to "no" or "false". Then run the script: it shows an error. Then set to "default" again and it works even after reboot.
<arno11> of course still doesn't work with sphone
<arno11> but seems to be related to dbus ofono and not sphone directly
<arno11> sicelo: :(
<arno11> *for irtx
<sicelo> i am doing another test with the line fmg said to add.
<arno11> ah yes ok

<Wizzup> arno11: where do you set this?
<Wizzup> arno11: so the caller id hiding isn't a problem in sphone, it was a problem in the telepathy stuff
<Wizzup> maemish_: well they are similar to n9, so
<arno11> yes but a problem in ofono dial-number script as well, weird
<Wizzup> arno11: as in I know how to set it, and I'm pretty sure sphone does the right thing
<arno11> ok
<Wizzup> I just don't know how to have it *not* set when telepathy makes the initial call
tk has joined #maemo-leste
<Wizzup> since it doesn't offer an interface for it afaics
<arno11> should't be a dbus ofono issue ?
<arno11> *couldn't
<arno11> otherwise it means we have 2 separate issues with same symptoms
<Wizzup> I don't think so, but maybe
<Wizzup> clearly sphone has no problems
<Wizzup> so yeah
<Wizzup> afaik caller id hiding is off by default
<arno11> ah interesting
<Wizzup> I assumed, at least
<Wizzup> it doesn't hide my caller id on the droid4
<arno11> with sphone or ofono scripts ?
<arno11> or both ?
<Wizzup> sphone
<Wizzup> idk about ofono scripts, I don't really use them much
<arno11> ok
<sicelo> freemangordon: arno11: yes, still hangs
<Wizzup> I guess no trace yeah?
<arno11> sicelo: arghh
<sicelo> i can try later to see about trace
<Wizzup> I mean if we think we need this change anyway we can add it to the droid4-linux in maemo/chimaera-experimental

<arno11> i don't understand why ir-rx51 uses hrtimer while dts only mentions dmtimer

<freemangordon> *is for
<freemangordon> sicelo: how did you capture that oops?
<freemangordon> it looks a bit strange
<freemangordon> any chance to build kernel on your machine?
<freemangordon> I thinke
<freemangordon> *I think 'init_waitqueue_head(&ir_rx51->wqueue);' is enough to move further
arno11 has left #maemo-leste [#maemo-leste]
<sicelo> freemangordon: sorry. seems that init_waitqueue_head didn't make it to the final build. rebuilding shortly
<sicelo> freemangordon: it's working :-)
<sicelo> Wizzup: i guess you can add that change and build, so arno can test with his pierogi
<sicelo> when i say working ... i mean pulse is sent (shows up when recording using video camera), and there's no crash afterwards
arno11 has joined #maemo-leste
<arno11> sicelo: woohoo
<arno11> yeah same idea for pierogi :)
<sicelo> could you share the pierogi/lirc setup perhaps?
<arno11> Wizzup: if you add the changes to -devel or -experimental, i can confirm if it works or not really soon
<arno11> sicelo: yes sure, what do you prefer ?
<arno11> i can directly send you a working pierogi .deb if you want to test quickly
<sicelo> i don't have my Leste sdcard handy atm ... overwrote it with Nemo when I was still groping in the dark for that cursed N900 earpiece :p
<arno11> ah ok :)
<sicelo> how about just uploading it to maemo-leste-extras ... even if it's presently incomplete
<Wizzup> arno11: sicelo: pls share a complete patch and uvos or I can do it
<Wizzup> arno11: just a git link to pierogi would be good too
<sicelo> for the kernel, it's https://pastebin.com/raw/r9Uae0jV
<sicelo> i guess that applies fine for kernel in Leste. i had to forward-port because ir-rx51.c had some changes from around 6.3 ... and I was testing on 6.4.3
<Wizzup> uvos: can you add or to devel, or shall I?
<arno11> Wizzup: sicelo: i would like to upload pierogi but no computer around me this week lol so i will try this evening from my n900

<sicelo> for some reason the original one just refuses to apply even in the kernel tag he mentioned. maybe pastebin mangled something ... no idea
<sicelo> so yes, i'm interested to get arno11 testing this patch, so we can see if we need to stop Sean (linux-media maintainer) from dropping rx51 if it really solves the issues arno11 gets with pwm-ir-tx

<sicelo> arno11 so yes, you can use that module. it's the one that works
<sicelo> unfortunately i can't power on/off my panasonic stereo, even though a blink does show up in video capture
<sicelo> i must add ... the module was built against 6.1.48 in devel, which i suppose is what you're running
<sicelo> unfortunately my installation seems a bit slow and frail - i guess my sd card is suboptimal
<freemangordon> sicelo: :)
<freemangordon> the other part of the patch is just an improvement
<sicelo> linux-media maintainer feels we should be using pwm-ir-tx. do you think/see anything special with ir-rx51?
<Wizzup> I always find that frustrating: find the bug, fix it, and then hear you can't use this because you have to switch to yet another thing
<sicelo> well, he said it 5 years ago, unrelated to the bug :-)
<sicelo> pwm-ir-tx does work, so he was right. from arno's testing, we know it is a bit 'slow.' I'm interested to know if the fixed ir-rx51 doesn't have same issue

<Wizzup> sicelo: ok

<arno11> sicelo: the driver works a bit
<arno11> able to send pulse correctly 2 times / 10
<arno11> at 50 cm maximum
<arno11> but able to open close my CD
<arno11> play stop pause
<arno11> with pierogi
<arno11> seems the signal is to weak and still too slow
<sicelo> weaker than with ir-pwm-tx?
<arno11> a bit weaker maybe
<arno11> difficult to compare because ambiant temp is now different
<sicelo> how would you compare the slowness and/or success rate between the two drivers?
<arno11> i can't really compare the two drivers
<arno11> that's just a feeling
<arno11> so that's just to give an idea
<arno11> nothing really accurate
<sicelo> of course :-)
<arno11> the main diff is that now my pierogi port works (a bit) :)
<sicelo> it was less usable with pwm-ir-tx?
<arno11> yes definitely
<sicelo> oh, so ir-rx51 is better in some way then
<arno11> because with wm-ir-tx you have to repeat pulses a lot to get a command working
<arno11> with ir-rx51, when it wants to work, only one pulse is enough to get the command
<sicelo> i guess i must ping Sean then (linux-media guy) ... so ir-rx51 is not dropped, at least not yet
<arno11> oh yeah
<arno11> we need it for the moment
<arno11> one more thing: my test from today is with stock cpu freqs
<arno11> not with overclock, i'll have to make a new uimage again to overclock with the new kernel
<arno11> and to see if there is a diff
