dsimic: but how recent is this thread ? I mean, when I've added the edp support to uboot, it was obviously working. Last time I've started upgrading the uboot of my pbp, I was consistently getting the vopl power domain error and didn't have time to debug so gave up

dsimic: thanks for the tip ... I guess I'll pick one of those for my "+" variant :-)
<diederik>
"+" as in this time with (f.e.) 32+ GB eMMC ... ?
<mmind00>
diederik: "+" as in, no sata controller but instead 2 M.2 slots (and bring your own sata if needed) ... it's a dev sample they sent me ... so not sure when that will be sold
<diederik>
ah ok, interesting :)

diederik: the "+" variant came to life thanks to my earlier suggestions toward Radxa... :) basically, I suggested that having two M.2 slots (instead of one M.2 slot and an integrated four-port SATA controller) would be more versatile, and would also allow having NVMe RAID-1, which is great for reliability and for some read speed improvements
<diederik>
hope you suggested a 32G or larger eMMC too ;-P
<diederik>
... and it would be great if more devices also had proper cases (preferably ones that also have a positive thermal effect)
<dsimic>
rtp: I haven't tested newer versions of U-Boot on my PBP, but I've heard already that some regressions are present in U-Boot, which I'll hopefully dive into rather soon
<dsimic>
diederik: yes, I suggested an upgrade to 32 GB eMMC chips as well, but haven't heard back some response yet
<dsimic>
I also suggested a rework of the recovery header, which right now basically duplicates the MaskROM button

mmind00: to make the NT07-115X 100% perfect, I had to adjust the spacing of the few fins that weren't spaced perfectly equally
<dsimic>
no special tools were required, just my fingertips :)
<dsimic>
I also had to bevel some of the edges of the backplate, which is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic
<dsimic>
that isn't strictly necessary, but spending about ten minutes with a box cutter knife made those edges no longer a bit sharp
<dsimic>
other than those slight imperfections, which are easily rectified, it's amazingly well made
<dsimic>
of course, it's 100% functional even with nothing done to it

does anyone happen to know how rk3588 HDMI support is coming along in mainline?
