<phh> Hello. Would someone know whether signed Trusted Applications can land in linux-firmware (assuming no licensing issue)? My platform has secure boot, and video firmware has to be loaded from TEE rather than Linux (I'll need to mainline that patch), but it requires the TA binary (and tee-supplicant, and a firmware loader userspace)
<f_> phh: IIRC amlogic ATF firmware cannot be redistributed without amlogic agreeing
<phh> that's not the ATF firmware I'm talking about, but either way I will discuss licensing with Amlogic
<f_> but.."video firmware has to be loaded from TEE" what SoC is this?
<phh> S905X2
<f_> mmh
<f_> ah vdec?
<phh> that's for both video decoding IP if that's the question
<f_> OK
<f_> I think you could try sending an RFC patch?
<f_> (to linux-firmware, that is)
<phh> well I don't have the license yet. but you're suggesting I send it as a RFC mentioning I don't have the license just to see whether it would go?
<f_> After you jave the license, obviously.
<f_> *have
<phh> k thx
<f_> the question I was responding to was if it would fit in linux-firmware
