i use some 6x9 heavy duty ziplocs from uline for organizing things, so the glasgow and assorted bits and bobs gets a bag.

A hard drive case is a really interesting idea. While looking for one that would ship here (NZ) I came across the "Case Logic QHDC-101 Portable Hard Drive Case" which has both an internal strap to hold the "drive" down, and a zippered net section in the lid to store cables. (The photos look like it's got an "external 2.5" drive" in it.)
<ewenmcneill[m]>
The other case type that might work is some of the "laptop sleeve" cases come with/have an optional small bag with them (intended for laptop power supply/cables), and that's probably the right side/right padding.
<josHua[m]>
it has a little pouch guy for cables, nicely encouraging you to attempt to wrap SMA cables (and hence destroy them)

ewenmcneill[m]: I believe that is the case Saleae used for their Logic 16 logic analyzer.

That's an encouraging sign. A local stockist had one Case Logic QHDC-101 in stock, so I've ordered it to try out. Should be here Monday.

FTR, I think the Matrix -> Discord bridging is broken at present., and maybe has been a couple of days. (The Discord -> Matrix bridging direction seems to be working some of the time -- some messages came through, but there are also some missing, eg Esden reporting on shipping status ~12 hours ago.)

I did a Gridfinity toolbox for mine the other week.
<fishmonger[m]>
It's bigger than it needs to be at 5x5x8U, but that's the standard size I do for all my toolboxes, so just modeled the 2x3x4U special box for Glasgow and grabbed the rest from the box of pre-printed stuff.
<fishmonger[m]>
(Everything except the 1x1s are 4U, so it's another level of 4U bins below that right now only houses the paperwork that came with the Glasgow and the case)

Not at present, AFAIK, but it does support several forms of not-quite-jtag, just not on that applet.
<theorbtwo[m]>
You don't need jtag-pinout if you already know the pin out anyway.

The box and bins are standard Gridfinity fair, so those are available on Printables. But I'll dump all the ones I used + the Glasgow specific bin in one download. Later today hopefully.

For the benefit of Discord users: I've noticed that the Discord<->Matrix bridging is one way at present (Discord -> Matrix mostly works, but a few messages didn't make; Matrix -> Discord doesn't seem to work at all). Fortunately both sides are relatively quiet so there's not *that* much missing.
<whitequark[cis]>
i'm going to fix it some time when i'm not on vacation
<ewenmcneill[m]>
Catherine: Thanks for the explanation of why the bridging is broken (on the Matrix side, basically a crash loop -- https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-appservice-discord/issues/840). It's not at all urgent, enjoy your vacation. I just wanted to make sure people were aware of the net-split.
<EwenMcNeill[m]1>
(I deliberately replied from the Discord side to repeat the link/explanation there.)
<whitequark[cis]>
thanks
