as in, on the face of it - it sounds very simple - I assume we have the source vector files (SVG, AI, or something else?) and we just need to add it somewhere to the docs site?
<victorhooi[m]>
or there's some context I'm missing here?

the diagrams are stored somewhere on
<esden[m]>
The source files were made in either omnigraffle or affinity designer. Both payed for tools… I can share the source files… but I doubt they are useful unless others have license for the software too

If someone wants to put the effort into redrawing the graphics in something more open they are more than welcome to do that.

The issue I have is that all the open tools are either a pain to use or produce ugly results…
<esden[m]>
Or both … like graph box for example
<esden[m]>
*graphviz
<esden[m]>
ok, just checked the files are done in omnigraffle. If someone wants those original files I am happy to share them.
<esden[m]>
Catherine, if you want them uploaded to the github repo I can add them there. Unfortunately omnigraffle is a paid mac software only as far as I know. https://www.omnigroup.com/omnigraffle/buy
<whitequark[cis]1>
can we convert them to svg?
<esden[m]>
The compromise for the campaign was that we converted them to SVG. Those are the files found on the CS website.

benny2366 (@_discord_402173717452423168:catircservices.org) whoever does the work can choose any tool they want. I am just saying what my opinion about "other" tools is. I tried draw IO too and I still think it is pretty bad compared to Omnifraffle... that software ruined me 😦
<benny2366[m]>
och it has it quirks but but it evens out when a person with quircks(aka me ) uses it ;P
<esden[m]>
As I said, whoever does the work can choose any tool they want 😉
<benny2366[m]>
I will give it a go , after I go voting 🤮
<esden[m]>
(this is why I can empathize with people that have Altium muscle memory)
<benny2366[m]>
a gaming mouse with mapable buttens helps a lot XP atleast that's how I used altium XP

<esden[m]>
then you can help us out with drawings 😄
<benny2366[m]>
I have redrawen the simpliefied block diagrama any remarks?
<benny2366[m]>
already made the applet libary rectangle a little smaler
<whitequark[cis]1>
that looks far worse than the original...
<whitequark[cis]1>
i don't think i'm going to put it up unless it's on par with the original in terms of quality
<benny2366[m]>
you know that was 5 minutes of work he 😉 just a general draft

OmniGraffle produces pretty nice PDF exports, which are usually vector/scalable if the original are vector/scalable. PDF is what I'd probably suggest as a "downloadable" format (and SVG is probably best for "embedding in a web page").
<benny2366[m]>
we are looking for something open like draw io , so OmniGraffle isn't realy an option
<ewenmcneill[m]>
The source documents are in OmniGraffle. If someone wants to *modify* them I understand the desire to redraw them in something else. But if there's just a desire to *look at* them without finding the piece of card, then a PDF would probably be fine 😀
<Attie[m]>
all editable draw.io PNGs, feel free to use / modify

I'm happy to buy a license for omnigraffle - I think I might have an older one from before, I'll just pay for the upgrade
<victorhooi[m]>
mermaidjs tends to create quite pretty diagrams - would that be acceptable?
<victorhooi[m]>
esden (@_discord_269693955338141697:catircservices.org) would you be OK sharing the omnigraffle source files?
<victorhooi[m]>
and yeah - I do agree that you can produce very beautiful programs in omnigraffle - that's why I bought it before - graphviz is just...really great, and open, and all but kinda....ugly 😦 - I feel a bit sad saying that but it's true
