dnkl: i get that the point of the client/server mode was to centralize some of the heavy lifting, but i'm curious why the pid of the server shows up in get_tree vs the client. was that a deliberate choice? or is that just the way sway works?

jmcantrell: the clients just issue an IPC call to the server to create s new window. That is, *everything* is done in the server; the windows are owned by the server, hence that's the pid showing up in Sway

dnkl: thanks
