<stemid>
got any suggestions for terminal fonts that can show flag emojis?
<stemid>
I've been using source code pro for so long I have no idea what to try
<sterni>
stemid: if you have an emoji fallback font it should already work, but you need to enable grapheme shaping
<sterni>
options are documented in the tweak section of foot.ini(5)
<sterni>
oh that's on by default now!
<sterni>
then it's a matter of setting a fallback font, Noto Emoji works well for me
<stemid>
oic
<stemid>
thanks
<sterni>
you can configure that either via your global fontconfig config (foot will respect the emoji font you configure there I think) or using the font option in foot.ini
