dnkl: it looks almost the same except the pixels are colorful... perhaps it's an issue with the font boldness? could be that the browser font is less bold...
<dnkl>
acoolstraw: hard to say without pictures, but if the only difference is subpixel antialiasing, and you prefer grayscale antialiasing, I'd say just disable subpixel antialiasing globally in your fontconfig settings
<dnkl>
acoolstraw: right, so labwc is telling foot to use rgb subpixel antialiasing (the '2' sätter 350,190)
<dnkl>
this overrides fontconfig
<dnkl>
check with labwc if this is something you can configure

<acoolstraw>
oh, got it. thanks
<dnkl>
poll: should we set window urgency when we receive a notification escape (e.g OSC-777)?
<dnkl>
urgency is currently only set on BEL
<dnkl>
if we do add support for this, should it be gated by a new option?
<dnkl>
acoolstraw: I posted a question in #labwc
<dnkl>
no replies yet
<acoolstraw>
btw, I was supposed to run that in the rgba=none foot window right?
<acoolstraw>
dnkl:
<dnkl>
acoolstraw: I have you a command to start a new foot instance with a font that explicitly disables subpixel antialiasing; doesn't matter where you run it
<dnkl>
but won't help in this case, since labwc overrides it
<dnkl>
acoolstraw: oh sorry, misread your question
<dnkl>
doesn't matter where you ran the grep command. labwc isn't affected by that option
