<rwmjones> hmm very cheap
<davidlt> In reality I only care about SG2380 now :D
<davidlt> and I am sure there will be another MilkV board with it.
<rwmjones> yup
<davidlt> I am a bit afraid mixing P670 and X280.
<davidlt> P670 technically is RVA22 + V + V Crypto (not ratified, but hopefully no changes on final behavior).
<davidlt> Like JH7110 technically implement Bitmanip 0.94, but there are no changes compared to v1.0 IIRC.
<davidlt> X280 is an older design, based on U7.
<davidlt> It has 512-bit vectors (that's quite long compared to anything else), but it's not RVA22.
<davidlt> P670 is 128-bit vectors.

<davidlt> rwmjones, details arrived!
<davidlt> It's 16 P670 cores!
<davidlt> X280 is extra.
<davidlt> Also has SATA, PCIe, USB, DDR2/3.
<davidlt> Well, I cannot wait for a new MilkV board to be announced :)

<rwmjones> yeah that is all very much more interesting than the SG2042
<rwmjones> I wonder when it'll be available

<conchuod> davidlt: I got a pioneer the other day
<conchuod> yet to actually use it, its at work and I am WFH cos sick
<Esmil> conchuod: good luck. my pioneer didn't work out of the box, but then after i took out the board and manipulated the big fan a bit it suddenly came to live
<Esmil> *took the board out of the box
<davidlt> conchuod, cool
<davidlt> I still have remote access to one running Ubuntu
<davidlt> I still don't trust T-HEAD stuff now
<davidlt> 16-core P670 (well depends on process used) sounds like a more interesting system now
<davidlt> I would expect it to perform better at compile compared to 64-core C920
<conchuod> Esmil: hmm, hopefully I fare better
zsun has quit [Quit: Leaving.]
<rwmjones> davidlt: can you run 'time make -j1' on nbdkit on it and tell me how long that takes? looking for single thread performance number for it
<davidlt> rwmjones, probably not today
