<rwmjones> davidlt[m]: morning
<rwmjones> I'm afraid I won't be going to devconf.cz :-( no budget ...
<davidlt[m]> That's fine.
<davidlt[m]> I just canceled 100+ builds from the queue as I forgot there is R 4.3, which is ABI change.
<davidlt[m]> I am cooking R 4.3.0 now.
<davidlt[m]> I wonder how many R packages I rebuild with 4.2 instead of 4.3. That's something to check once 4.3 lands.

<davidlt[m]> Rust 1.70.0 landed. I started working on it this weekend. Back again to use LLVM 16 instead of 15.

<dtometzki> <dtometzki> "Hello davidt, iw ill try it this..." <- Hello davidlt i tried it with emmc but it doesnt work. On github was this the answer
<dtometzki> Currently, support for EMMC booting is unstable. You can refer to the Installing System to SD Card section to use the system from the SD card.
kalev_ is now known as kalev
<thefossguy> More upstreaming. I likey.
<davidlt[m]> Took a long time, but it finally landed.
<davidlt[m]> Still you need glibc + GCC and LLVM to actually make things useful.
<davidlt[m]> In GCC 13 we have intrinsics, but it's not the whole thing IIRC.
<davidlt[m]> Well, it doesn't even have v1.0 spec IIRC.
<davidlt[m]> On GNU toolchain side you most likely will need GCC 14 to compile for it.
<davidlt[m]> I think auto-vectorization is WIP, or might have been merged recently.
<davidlt[m]> The only target is QEMU for this as there is no hardware.
