<lavaball> sifu, you there?
<lavaball> oh, h. sifuh!
<SiFuh> No are you?
joe9 has quit [Quit: leaving]
<lavaball> oh, finally.
<lavaball> there is another word for war porn. i thought you might know for some reason. not torture porn ... but i don't know. the ai won't help.
<SiFuh> I don't know what is 'war porn'. I am assuming it is to do with soldiers?
<SiFuh> War Porn is a anti-war novel by Roy Scranton completed in 2011 and published in 2016 by Soho Press.
<SiFuh> Or a book
<SiFuh> “War porn,” n. Videos, images, and narratives featuring graphic violence, often brought back from combat zones, viewed voyeuristically or for emotional gratification. Such media are often presented and circulated without context, though they may be used as evidence of war crimes.
<lavaball> the violence
<lavaball> meanwhile another problem fujitsu laptop. bios won't go. said "please wait" at the bottom, then boots windows anyway.
<lavaball> any ideas?
<SiFuh> I had a Fujitsu Lifebook LH530 once F2 to enter bios
<lavaball> HA HA!
<lavaball> no.
<lavaball> "plese wait" nothing happens.
<lavaball> i managed to get in by pulling out the hard drive.
<lavaball> set it to boot from stick, but when hdd back in, windows!
<SiFuh> UEFI
<SiFuh> Best just to remove Windows completely
<jaeger> Maybe look up its model online to see if the boot menu key is something unusual
<lavaball> read three forum posts about the issue. it's a fujitsu thing. different laptops even.
<lavaball> anyway, took it out. dd zero bs=1M ... now i shouldn't have any more troubles.
<SiFuh> We have a Beelink around here that does something like that. No matter what key we press it boots Windows. I think I ended up crashing it to get into the bios.
<SiFuh> Beelink BT3. If I remember correctly it is because it would boot before USB was recognized
<SiFuh> Rendering keyboard and mouse useless
<SiFuh> lavaball: After I got rid of Windows I now have no issue accessing BIOS
<lavaball> still no takers. but it booted from the stick.
<lavaball> installing right now!
<lavaball> well, first i have to set up ssh, then...
<lavaball> i need an external sata powersupply one for 2.5 one for 3.5. does something liek that exist?
<lavaball> basically an external adventure but no joint connector for both.
<SiFuh> Yes
<lavaball> do you hve a link or a name for it?
<SiFuh> Describe it exactly, and I am sure I can find what you want
<lavaball> an external power supply for hard drives. both kinds 3.5 sata nad 2.5 sata... that's if they use different ones.
<SiFuh> 2.5 and 3.5 have the same connector
<lavaball> but same power needs?
<lavaball> that's the question.
<SiFuh> Why wouldn't they? They have those external things you slide a 3.5 and a 2.5 into
<lavaball> one is mechancal the other motionless?
<lavaball> i don't know. i take your word for it if you say they both have the same needs.
<SiFuh> My friend uses one of these. But it is power and data
<lavaball> as i said: no joint connector.
<lavaball> this is a joint connector, as in data/power same time.
<SiFuh> I am aware. But this is for the large and small drives. Same power source
<lavaball> actually i don't think so. it has there 3.1/2.5 and 3.1/2.5 and 3.5 and the connector looks differently.
<lavaball> this one shoudl work.
<lavaball> eu socket. otherwise nice.
<SiFuh> Better than a UK socket ;-)
<SiFuh> I prefer China/AU socket type. I think type I
<SiFuh> Yeah type I.
<lavaball> nothing like that available in germany.
<lavaball> great.
<lavaball> never mind. found it.
<lavaball> thanks.
<SiFuh> Type I doesn't fall out of the wall, but isn't as large as Type G which is used here.
<SiFuh> One of the interesting things about Type G though, is the fuse is in the plug.
<lavaball> oh no. sold by china man.
<SiFuh> Hehe
