Heh, I have told them before in 2019, after I fixed both the cheap junk roll-up extension cord and the 4 socket adapter that they roll-up extension cord cannot use more tha 1K watts and should be completely rolled out when using high watt appliances. They brought it back to me yesterday after connecting 3 hot-pots that use heating elements at 1,200 watts, 1,300 watts and another I didn't bother looking at.
<SiFuh_>
The they didn't unroll the roll-up cord completely and created an induction coil with a plastic frame. The neutral pin on the plug heated up and the roll-up cord melted the socket, the frame, the wires in the coil and then it blew up. Luckily it blew up as they could have started a fire. At least the fuse was fine :-P

Anyone do rock climbing, rescue, scuba diving or horse riding. I am looking for 38mm webbing 'tri-glides' either 'titanium' or 'stainless steel' that can fit the webbing 'doubled' over. Can't find anything like that here.

Bought an MSI laptop. 41 days later it the lid can't open with out pressing on the hinges around the screen from stopping the cover from twisting and then spending a few minutes do ing the same to close it.
<SiFuh>
Emailed MSI service no reply yet, will call tomorrow afternoon. But 41 days? I close the laptop half way to stop dust settling on the screen one time per day!
<SiFuh>
I'd say that I have not even had the chance to open or close it 100 times. Both hinges have seperated from the top LCD cover.

MSI Delta 15 A5EFK-058

Searching my logs, looks like you've talked about them in the past and I just forgot, heh
<SiFuh>
jaeger: you have sorry, metabox are clevo
<SiFuh>
You mentioned they are cheap.. I am paraphrasing though
<SiFuh>
I was surprised you were aware of them
<SiFuh>
But that doesn't matter. I have and I know many have them and all of us are still using them
<SiFuh>
Now I have an MSI laptop 41 days in to the usage being processed for warranty wow
<SiFuh>
I will try to request a refund though because 41 days is stupid
<SiFuh>
If not, I will take to court
<SiFuh>
Bet I will be first Malaysian to take MSI to court
<jaeger>
I'm old and I forget things, heh
<jaeger>
Good luck with the laptop, that sucks
