I stopped using any network manager program because of constant droppages and it wasn't automatically reconnecting most of the time. I didn't see the point of a Network Manager that wasn't always managing the network so I axed it. I only use the /etc/rc.d/{wpa_supplicant,wlan,net} scripts and they are perfect

I love Crux :)

The community is great and the distribution does things in a way that I feel is quite standard. There's very little bogus magic or change for the heck of it.

Every other distribution seems to do things in their own special way and that can get really annoying.
