<SiFuh> The guy who made it is using these cuts to insult troonies
<remiliascarlet> SiFuh: The old Alex Jones kind of looks like Linus Torvalds, but without glasses, and with a funny voice.
<SiFuh> You mean the younger Alex Jones? Hehe
<remiliascarlet> Yes.
<remiliascarlet> Old as in not current. Not as in elderly.
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: I always liked this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cHMzWTBDxU
<remiliascarlet> The gay frogs one is by far the most well known.
<SiFuh> Yeah, and he turned out to be correct as well. Atrazine in the water was turning the frogs gay.
<remiliascarlet> The funny thing is that the banning of Alex Jones back in 2017 only caused him to get an even larger audience.
<SiFuh> After the Tucker Carlson interview he doubled his audience.
<remiliascarlet> I've never even heard of Alex Jones until some tech related news site reported that all the big social media sites have banned him.
<SiFuh> I use to listen to him back before 9/11
<zorz> is he so old? mean he broadcasts before 9/11
<SiFuh> In fact, I remember when he was a radio host for GCN and some of the other radio hosts for GCN were insulting him live on air and GCN cut the broadcast.
<zorz> fuckin hell did not know that.... everything has its story behind.
<SiFuh> zorz: He is the guy who said they were going to smash airplanes in the WTC around June/July that year.
<zorz> SiFuh: no shit!
<SiFuh> And then in Septemeber they did it.
<remiliascarlet> I still remember, "Alex Jones got banned from YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, but not Twitter", then a few days later Twitter banned him too. I was like "who is Alex Jones?". A few months later Bitchute became a thing, he was all over the place there.
<SiFuh> Jack Dorsey was angry that Alex Jones was banned on twitter and not long after he resigned from twitter because it was not longer the platform he made, it became a shit hole full of left wing propaganda and anti-free speech.
<remiliascarlet> Then he should have put his foot down, which he clearly didn't.
<SiFuh> Too many FBI/CIA/DHS hands fucking with him.
<remiliascarlet> Meanwhile, FBI tried to fuck with Apple back in 2015, and Apple said "no".
<SiFuh> Actually Apple said yes.
<SiFuh> The media reported that Apple said no. But in all actuality Apple hadn't
<remiliascarlet> Both Poland and Hungary were demanded by the EU to take in migrants, and they just put up a middle finger, and ignored them.
<SiFuh> Fuck the Kelergi plan.
<remiliascarlet> Even if that was true, fact remains that you can still tell them to go fuck themselves.
<SiFuh> I just say "No!" and if they keep pushing I ask them "What part of 'no' don't you understand?"
<remiliascarlet> In the best case they can take away your funding, in the worst case they can force you to step down as CEO, and even then you can say "no", unless you're running a public company (so with stakeholders and board of directors), in that case you're just fucked.
<remiliascarlet> So I'm actually glad Elon turned Twitter into a private company, so at least no outsiders can fuck with him.
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: The CIA/FBI can put anyone in prison by framing them
<zorz> SiFuh: just removed last rust program standing run-mailcap-rs
<zorz> Lets Celebrate!

<SiFuh> lavaball: I went to watch that Alien movie at the cinema. I counted 8 people all on the far left side. Wife and I on the right
<lavaball> don't get me involved.
<SiFuh> She asks "Do you allow me to eat popcorn?" I said "Sure, but damned expensive" She comes back and says "11 MYR!" I said "Make your own for next time." She says "But it says no outside food or drinks." I said "Keep the box then and put your own popcorn in it"
<SiFuh> Still can't beleive she said that since, she was constantly pinching my beer in the cinema. :-P They don't sell beer, but I always drink beer there

<SiFuh> Gov’t Study Admits Fluoridated H20 Lowers IQ: Internet Adds Another Coin To ‘Alex Jones Was Right’ Jar
<lavaball> why woudl they not have /bin in the PATH when you do chroot from gentoo minimal boot medium to your installed system
<lavaball> ?
<lavaball> not to mention why do they have the whole install medium system in /mnt
<lavaball> when you go with mount /dev/shit1 /mnt ... the whoel system is gone.
<lavaball> which i always do. muscle memory. why wouldn't i?
<lavaball> well, now i always check.
<lavaball> fucking troonix.
<SiFuh> I only ever mount to /mnt under CRUX installation.
<SiFuh> Apart from that. I always use subfolders ls /mnt BACKUP DIPYLIDIUM MUCORMYCOSIS NFS OTHER
<lavaball> yeah, i'm booting the install medium.
<lavaball> otherwise i have my own mount folders in home.
<lavaball> {USER} to be exact.
<lavaball> oh, $HOME.
<SiFuh> I have a link to that ~/DISKS -> /mnt
<SiFuh> Actually it is ~/Disks
<lavaball> that you can do any way you like. i don't care.
<lavaball> but on the install medium /mnt should be clean.
<lavaball> even alpine does that. they have /mnt and /media.
<SiFuh> If I accidentally delete wrong thing it only deletes the link
<lavaball> does it?!
<SiFuh> Never understood the /media shit
<SiFuh> Yes try rm -rf ~/Disks and you will only remove the link
<lavaball> i don't care. if they are consistent and not messing with common practice they can do wahtever they like.
<lavaball> arch moved games into /usr/share/games or something too.
<lavaball> it was in /usr/games before.
<SiFuh> OpenBSD ;-)
<lavaball> i don't fully understand the filetree of openbsd yet.
<lavaball> though i appreciate it comeing with bsd.rd.
<SiFuh> It's pretty easy. / = the main shit /usr = the other packages on the CD not needed to run the system and /usr/local = ports
<lavaball> made it easier to fix the system when it partly froze on me, because i had too many tabs open, and because there is no journaling file system, shit disappeared on me.
<SiFuh> Yeah bsd.rd is awesome. Just download it and boot from it and you can upgrade. But now they have upgrade anyway so no need to bother.
<lavaball> download?
<lavaball> i never had to download it. i just wrote it at the beginning.
ivandi has quit [Quit: WeeChat 4.4.1]
<SiFuh> In the old days. If you wanted to upgrade your system from 4.5 to 4.6. You just downloaded bsd.rd for 4.6. When booting you run the command set image bsd.rd and you can do a network upgrade
<lavaball> i see.
<lavaball> i joined 6.8 i think.
<SiFuh> No need to burn ISO images to CD, DVD or USB
<SiFuh> I started in 3.x
ivandi has joined #crux-social
<lavaball> i think before 6.5 i thought it was a linux distro.
<SiFuh> A lot has changed
<lavaball> funnily enough i was laways destined to end up here.
<lavaball> my old high school nemesis told me.
<SiFuh> lavaball: My father still thinks I use linux and I have been using OpenBSD since 2002
<lavaball> okay?
<SiFuh> I keep correcting him but he never remembers
<lavaball> like my lumberjack.
<lavaball> i basically have to visibilty demonstrate the exercises to him almost every time.
<SiFuh> visibly
<lavaball> yes. that one.
