remiliascarlet: Over emperss in usage, want the dirty mark of the clearance surfacc with the impurity. After maintaining, please place to make affect by damp and cold not in the dry place, the in order to prevent rusts.
<SiFuh>
This is exactly what is written on the back of the package I picked up yesterday. Only thing I didn't do was capitalise the first letter of every word.
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: Use C to prevent rusts.
<remiliascarlet>
I can confirm once again that errata 003 (the libcrypto patch) is fundamentally broken. I re-applied the patch again and rebooted, and I noticed the following problems:
<remiliascarlet>
1) boot up time got ridiculously slow. 2) logging into my user account was ridiculously slow, and once it finally loaded, Xorg got stuck in an infinite loop. 3) tmux stopped working altogether. 4) I was unable to connect to WiFi at all. All I did to fix all these issues was to simply execute `syspatch -r` and reboot, and all the problems were gone again.
<remiliascarlet>
There were probably more problems, but I didn't check.
<remiliascarlet>
And I know, it's hard to believe that simply adding a bound check would cause all these side effects, and yet it did.
<remiliascarlet>
Really didn't expect OpenBSD developers to go full Javascript developers.
<SiFuh>
I think 7.5 is broken.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: I just translated it into Simplified Chinese. 使用过程中,请清除表面的杂质和污渍。保养后,请放置在干燥且不易受潮的地方,以免生锈。Then I translated it back into English. During use, please remove impurities and stains on the surface. After maintenance, please place it in a dry and moisture-proof place to avoid rust.

<remiliascarlet>
7.5 works fine on a ThinkPad T400, T43, PowerBook G4, and all the servers, but it's broken on ThinkPad P50 and desktop.
<remiliascarlet>
Almost as if with the release of OpenBSD 7.5, they went like "fuck modern hardware, embrase ancient technology!".
<dlcusa>
Or maybe there's now a mole infestation...
<SiFuh>
This article is about xylitol and xylitol isn't artificial
<SiFuh>
The reason I posted the link to you is because xylitol is found in many vegetables
<remiliascarlet>
Sugar comes from a tree, and that's not what I was refering to. I don't know about the other ones, but anything that has some weird hard to pronounce name I just assume to be artificial.
<SiFuh>
Sugar comes from a grass
<SiFuh>
Glycirine comes from vegetation
<SiFuh>
I use Glycirine for for my vodka to give it body or for starting a chemically induced fire.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: You can synthesize natural molecules and call them artifical because they were not naturally created but manipulated into existence by man.
<remiliascarlet>
Greek has lots of hard to pronounce words, so perhaps zorz is artificial.
<SiFuh>
Heh
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: It's funny because when I read "Over emperss in usage, want the dirty mark of the clearance surfacc with the impurity. After maintaining, please place to make affect by damp and cold not in the dry place, the in order to prevent rusts." This today, I said to myself, "It kind of reminds me of zorz's English"
<remiliascarlet>
Fuck the duck until it explodes, which is one example you gave me many months ago.
<SiFuh>
I finid it interesting that Fuck Duck rhymes and in Thailand Yet Ped also rhymes and it means the same thing.
<remiliascarlet>
Fuck, パコ. Duck, 鴨. Doesn't quite rhyme in Japanese, but the vowels are the same at least.
<remiliascarlet>
Well, パコ is a slang.
<SiFuh>
เย็ดเป็ด
<remiliascarlet>
Donald Duck. Fonald Fuck.
<SiFuh>
Byron Donalds for Vice President!
<SiFuh>
Then the party can run as TRUMP DONALDS 2024 :-)
<SiFuh>
And because he is black, it will piss off the liberals
<remiliascarlet>
Reminds me to a prank call I made to an Indian scam call center some years ago using a Donald Trump soundboard.
<SiFuh>
Vice president DONALDS' president will me TRUMP. So it will be Donalds' Trump
<remiliascarlet>
"Can I have your name sir?" "DONALD TRUMP." *hangs up*
<SiFuh>
When my father made his resume he had three references at the bottom. When he went for a job interview the guy laughed so hard and gave my father a job. He said "I like that!" And the name of one of his references was George Washington.
<SiFuh>
And it wasn't even a fake reference. :-P
<remiliascarlet>
Meanwhile, if you were to try this today, you'd probably be cancelled.
<SiFuh>
Can't cancel me
<SiFuh>
Once ICQ has been shut down. I will only have IRC and Telegram
<remiliascarlet>
Why won't these fuckers just open source ICQ?
<SiFuh>
“Look, someone has imagined that Russia wants to attack NATO. Have you gone completely insane? Are you as thick as a plank? Who came up with this nonsense, this bulls**t?“ Putin said, as translated by Russian media.
<remiliascarlet>
NATO is already attacking Russia, proxied via Ukraine.
<SiFuh>
“You can disagree about politics, but violence is and will remain completely unacceptable,” wrote Peter Skaarup
<SiFuh>
So then what is the point of going to war? Fucking faggot

It's like saying "Violence is never the answer. I WILL KILL YOU TO DEATH!".
<SiFuh>
Is there a way to kill someone not to death?
<SiFuh>
HAHAHAHAHA
<remiliascarlet>
It's a reference to a poorly translated One Piece screenshot somebody sent me many years ago.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: One of the threats in Thailand when I first moved there was "Have you ever died before?" and I burst out laughing. Poor person's threat failed on the spot.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Only ever saw the TV series One Piece. Not the cartoon version even though I download it every week for a friend
<remiliascarlet>
Well, Buddhists believe in reincarnation, so.
<SiFuh>
Buddhism is self worship
<remiliascarlet>
Like in one Dragon Ball Super episode, "ARE YOU DEAD?" "Well, I already died twice before though..."
<remiliascarlet>
Another one that's heavily inspired by Buddhism.
<remiliascarlet>
Also, for some reason, since I went full blown meat-based, I feel like I can resist heat better. And the only reason why I know that is because everyone was hiding in a shadow, whereas I was the only one standing in sunlight. I used to join the rest in the shadow last year and before.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: You turning into a negroid?
<SiFuh>
Hehe
<SiFuh>
The otherday a guy called into The American Journal and mentioned the story about when he died. He said he met a big man on a chair and assumed it to be God. However, he mentioned the smell of the place was incredible.
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: No, still a yellow monkey.
<SiFuh>
My friend calls Asia "Monkey Country"
<remiliascarlet>
"Yellow monkey" is a slur for "Asian people" invented by Americans (apparently), some of us use this slur more jokingly.
<SiFuh>
You teaching me? Or was that for someone else?
<remiliascarlet>
Nothing's wrong, I just never ate it before. And if I have to distinguish the edible from the unedible, then that's too much work.
<SiFuh>
Snakes are easy to eat. You chop off the head, bury it deep in the ground. Then you can cook it as is, or you can skin it and gut it.
<remiliascarlet>
I see.
<remiliascarlet>
So just like every other animal.
<remiliascarlet>
I've actually seen video clips of cats eating snakes.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Snakes are really easy though. Like super easy. I'd lop off the head and bury it. Then I'd skin it like pulling very tight stockings of a sexy ladies legs. Then you grab the entrails and pull and it all falls out. You now have meat on ribs ready to cook.
<SiFuh>
Take the entrails and wrap into a ball and stick into a mesh bag. Put it in the eel trap, and wait until morning and you might have an eel or 20 ;-
<SiFuh>
:-)
<remiliascarlet>
In that case, I will give it a try next month.
<SiFuh>
You can buy snake meat in Japan?
<SiFuh>
Or are you going back to the village?
<remiliascarlet>
I don't know.
<remiliascarlet>
I did see plenty of snakes in pet shops though.
<remiliascarlet>
And you can see all sorts of snakes in every government, but that aside.
<remiliascarlet>
zorz isn't online, but I'll post to remind myself to tell him (if I catch him): "I know why audio might not work for you on NetBSD; because the default isn't the speakers. Try `audiocfg list` to see which ones you have. https://www.netbsd.org/docs/guide/en/chap-audio.html"
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Pet shops usually sell pythons. I'd prefer not to eat them as they are not venomous and great rat hunters.
<remiliascarlet>
Cats are good at catching rats too, but I don't have any rats here.
<remiliascarlet>
But they sell pythons? That's disappointing...
<remiliascarlet>
They should have sold C's instead.
<SiFuh>
Cats also taste good
<SiFuh>
If you went to the Australian bush with me and I saw a feral cat. I will kill it and you can try it.
<SiFuh>
There is a law back in the days when Australians were allowed guns before Port Arther bullshit that basically said if you saw a feral cat and you had a gun and bullets you are required by law to shoot it.
<SiFuh>
Cats do not belong in Australia and the native wildlife are not 'evolved' to handle cats. So the cats find it easy to kill everything. When a cat's litter is born in the wild and feral cats are produced. These cats can be as large as dogs. And they are lethal. Like hairy razorblades
<remiliascarlet>
As if the other animals in Australia aren't lethal.
<remiliascarlet>
In Australia, anyone and anything can kill you.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Look, in Australia animals don't intentionally go out hunting people.
<SiFuh>
1 in 8 species in Australia can kill you.
<SiFuh>
Even the ticks
<SiFuh>
Feral cats become immune to the ticks real fast.
<remiliascarlet>
I don't think any animal would hunt people unless they see them as a threat.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: No, animals do hunt people if they see them as food
<SiFuh>
Crocodiles and big cats and giant pythons hunt people
<SiFuh>
Even Hyena
<SiFuh>
Elephants, Hippos, pigs, will hunt humans if they feel they are a threat
<SiFuh>
So you really only have two arguments although technically if you are threat they won't hunt you. They will see you and chase you down and fuck you up
<SiFuh>
During the starvations in Soviet Russia, the wolves and the bears would hunt people.
<SiFuh>
Not sure why. Not much meat on the bones of the people in those days
<SiFuh>
Maybe they could smell the weakness?
<SiFuh>
Big mammal carnivores tend to attack the smallest, weakest of the group.
<remiliascarlet>
Wolves over here are generally more afraid of humans than the other way around.
<remiliascarlet>
But bears can be pretty damn dangerous.
<SiFuh>
Probably genetic memory of their ancestors being sliced to pieces by Katana weilding yellow monkeys.
<SiFuh>
We have bears and tigers here. Never seen a single one yet. But the bears are tiny so no threat and the tigers usually avoid anything on two legs.
<remiliascarlet>
Including chickens?
<SiFuh>
HAHA
<remiliascarlet>
Imagine a tiger being scared of chickens.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Always admired the Honey Badger. Super aggressive. Immune to snake venom. Super genius. Can take on lions and hyenas
<remiliascarlet>
Reminds me of someone whenever I mention piracy to him, he gets really mad at me.
<SiFuh>
Digital?
<remiliascarlet>
Yes.
<SiFuh>
Digital privacy is not a crime.
<SiFuh>
May as well ban photocopiers then
<remiliascarlet>
And libraries.
<remiliascarlet>
I even argued with someone before who got brainwashed by the copyright mafia.
<SiFuh>
Actually I think it was 2006 when the law in Australia dropped that you can't use VHS tapes to record TV shows and movies
<remiliascarlet>
"Making pictures of magazines is illegal because the authors are losing money!" "So does that mean that standing while reading in a convenience store is also illegal? Because the authors are losing money on that too, you know." "No, because it's not written in the law, therefore it's perfectly legal!"
<SiFuh>
If I read the hex code and type it out manually and save it. Have I just illegally copied something?
<SiFuh>
As much as I like the idea of patents. I am also against it.
<remiliascarlet>
"First of all, if that patent happens to be a software patent, go jump off a bridge..." ~ Jonathan Blow
<SiFuh>
