<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: "Getting fit is great – but it could turn you into a rightwing jerk" Sounds acceptable.
<remiliascarlet>
Shows once again that the Babylon Bee is less of a parody site than the Guardian.
<remiliascarlet>
But really, putting political labels to literally anything is only good for shutting down conversation.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: And racist, biggot and anti-semitism
<remiliascarlet>
That's typically part of the package.
<remiliascarlet>
Nowadays if you eat an animal-based diet, you're immediately labeled a "right wing extremist", even though it has nothing to do with politics.
<SiFuh>
I am so glad I don't live in the West
<SiFuh>
Anyone says that to my face, I will probably break their nose
<SiFuh>
I have conservative values but I am neither left, right or centrist. The labels are bullshit and so is their political ideaologies.
<remiliascarlet>
I don't even know what values on the political compass I have, other than being pro-free speech and anti-censorship.
<farkuhar>
SiFuh: `pkg_info cmus-ffmpeg` says it's an input plugin for cmus (.aac, .mp4...). Before you installed this plugin, what subset of your music library was supported? On one of my hard drives, the figure works out to about 50%.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Probably closer to anarcho-capitalism ?
<SiFuh>
I am more for anarchy but the motto would be "Do not deny free will"
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: The funny thing is, younger people would tell me "anarcho-communism", but older people would tell me "anarcho-capitalism".
<SiFuh>
I think capitalism has its values but I also think it should be capped
<remiliascarlet>
And when it comes to more tyranny, both age groups would label it the other way around.
<SiFuh>
That is why I prefer "Do not deny free will"
<farkuhar>
This command gave me 92: find Music -type f \( -name "*.mp3" -o -name "*.ogg" -o -name "*.flac" \) -printf "%h\n" | sort -u | wc -l
<SiFuh>
Heheh, the king of off-topics is here
<farkuhar>
But this command also gave me 92: find Music -type f -name "*.m4a" | printf "%h\n" | sort -u | wc -l
<farkuhar>
How weird is that?
<SiFuh>
What is -printf?
<remiliascarlet>
A sex toy.
<farkuhar>
Sorry, last command should have been: find Music -type f -name "*.m4a" -printf "%h\n" | sort -u | wc -l
<farkuhar>
So it would appear that only half my music library would have been usable, if I installed cmus but not cmus-ffmpeg. I wonder what the corresponding figure is for SiFuh.
<farkuhar>
The gratuitous -printf was to count by album (one per directory), not by file. If I get rid of the -printf then albums with 17-minute songs (I'm looking at you, Pink Floyd) would be underrepresented.
<remiliascarlet>
I just accidentally screwed a T6 screw into a +2.0 thing, and now I can't get that screw out. Do you maybe know how to get it out?
<SiFuh>
Depends, what is it made out of, is it raised above the surface or flush? How badly did you fuck it up?
<remiliascarlet>
Nevermind, I got it out.
<SiFuh>
Don't put it back in
<remiliascarlet>
Had to use a tweezers while screwing it out.
<SiFuh>
Cool, simple enough
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: My transfer case has a PTO winch attached to it. When I was going to do an oil change, I noticed that the fill plug was rounded. When I replaced the seals for the Speedo Cable a lot of oil came out. More than it should. I realised they couldn't remove the filler plug so instead of they used the PTO winch filler plug to fill the transfer case. Meaing they overfilled both the PTO and the
<SiFuh>
transfer case.
<SiFuh>
Eventually I was able to remove that bolt, but I had to buy a twist socket.
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: Seems like that new Windows mass surveillance tool known as "Microsoft Recall" already got cracked before it even got released.
<remiliascarlet>
A tool got released (open source and all) that can just record any random person's computer, and send it to the attacker over the internet.
<SiFuh>
Microsoft can kiss my crack
<remiliascarlet>
I know, but it's still hillarious.
<SiFuh>
Hilarious that the world is full of fucking twats that use joke software?
<remiliascarlet>
That too.
<remiliascarlet>
And that those fucking twats have so much faith in a company that has been fucking them in their asses very deeply every hour of the day.
<remiliascarlet>
Just because "command line scawwy...".
<SiFuh>
And WHO and GMO and Mosquitoes.
<remiliascarlet>
Worse, they're parasites.
<SiFuh>
Someone called into one of the infowars broadcasts and said "We need to stop calling them elited or authority figures. We need to call them out for what they are. They are 'parasites'. Everyone needs to refer to them as parasites"
<SiFuh>
elited? elites
<remiliascarlet>
Jeff Berwick at one point suggested to call them "obsoletes", but I find that to be Richard Stallman level cringe.
<remiliascarlet>
Like how he calls "Windows" "Losedows" or "Facebook users" Facebook useds".
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: I called Biden 'Resident' instead of president and I also called him 'Bidet' instead of biden. One of the lawyers in the US against Biden is now copying my words and calling him Resident Bidet.
<remiliascarlet>
So yeah, "parasites" is better.
<remiliascarlet>
At least "resident" and "bidet" are actual words.
<SiFuh>
Obsoletes. HAHAHAHAHAHA
<SiFuh>
That's actually clever
<SiFuh>
Since 1988 I have always referred to the government as ticks
<SiFuh>
But I didn't know that only Australia had Parasitic ticks
<remiliascarlet>
Somebody at #monero was trying to lecture me about saturated fat. Simply quoting the bullshit from the 1950s.
<SiFuh>
So now I have to say Parasitic ticks instead of ticks
<SiFuh>
Hahahahaha
<SiFuh>
Saturated fat. Fat that is saturated in corporate bullshit for a profit.
<SiFuh>
You take saturated fats? You will be saturated in fat.
<remiliascarlet>
In the rest of the world, we call the government "criminals".
<SiFuh>
They are and the problem is the police.
<remiliascarlet>
Saturated fat is just the fat that naturally exists within animals.
<SiFuh>
The police protect the government even though the governments are breaking the laws
<remiliascarlet>
Rules for thee, not for me.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Ahh I am thinking of unsaturated fats
<SiFuh>
You and your fancy English
<remiliascarlet>
Understandable, the naming they've given to types of fat is pretty confusing.
<SiFuh>
I read a menu and see the words beef burger and I order and say "Dead cow burger"
<remiliascarlet>
Basically like how ESG/SDGs funded corporations call "sustainable" anything but sustainable.
<SiFuh>
The wife said it was disgusting and to stop doing it. I said to her that I never lied. It is a cow, it is dead.
<SiFuh>
Actually the incident was about fish
<SiFuh>
I said 'dead fish' and she got upset about. We were only dating then. Maybe 5 or more years ago. She told me not to talk like that and I asked "It is a fish and it is dead right? You want to eat a living fish? Tell me which is more disgusting. My words or you eating a fish while it is still alive"
<SiFuh>
She tried to defend herself but it was a lost cause.
<remiliascarlet>
Guess people say "beef", "pork", and "mutton" for a reason then.
<SiFuh>
I still never say beef, lamb, mutton, pork, or whatever fancy a la carte words they use
<remiliascarlet>
If you'd call broccoli "dead flower" or carrot "dead tree", would she react like that too?"
<SiFuh>
I just say dead cow, dead pig, dead duck, dead turkey.
<SiFuh>
Everyone gets it.
<SiFuh>
But carrot isn't a tree
<remiliascarlet>
Root of some plant.
<SiFuh>
HAHAHA
<remiliascarlet>
GMO modified root of some plant.
<SiFuh>
Technically they aren't dead though
<remiliascarlet>
Like how broccoli is GMO modified flower.
<SiFuh>
They are alive right up until you eat them. Some will die during cooking though
<SiFuh>
Well most will die during cooking
<remiliascarlet>
What about those you don't cook, like lettuce?
<SiFuh>
I don't think Broccoli is a GMO modified flower
<SiFuh>
It is a type of flower
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: still alive
<remiliascarlet>
If it wasn't GMO modified, you'd not be able to survive when you'd eat it.
<SiFuh>
I like raw cabbage and it is still alive
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: What are you talking about?
<SiFuh>
Broccoli isn't a GMO plant. It is natural.
<SiFuh>
They are all toxic to humans in large amounts
<SiFuh>
You can say the same about Chicken. There are thousands of different species of chicken yet they all came from one location. The jungles of Thailand. Jungle fowls.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Friend who doesn't know anything said the reason he doesn't know anything is was always sleeping in school. I told him that I was drinking and passing out in school. (true story not even a lie) and I still learned shit.
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: treasure trail image search that shit
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: Solve a rubik's cube requires a brain yes?
<SiFuh>
Everyone here thinks you are a super genius if you can solve it
<SiFuh>
But it is like remembering the alphabet song. It requires little thought
<SiFuh>
I solve daily. But everyone thinks I am a genius. But I am not.
<SiFuh>
Also I ordered a book about Malaysian snakes. I care not spiders and scorpions and crocodiles. Snakes are the only thing important

dlcusa: Is a coward too
<SiFuh>
He needs two of himself to fight us
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: It is a joke, I actually love and like dlcusa a lot.
<dlcusa>
We were sheltering in basement as it went by about 2 miles away by NIST. Minimal damage considering. The country's time standard didn't skip a beat.
<dlcusa>
My main server lost power somehow, possibly a surge.
<dlcusa>
I'm still compensating for the associated interruptions.
