<r0ni> well so looking at firefox i've found one can build it without the dep on wasi by passing "--without-wasm-sandboxed-libraries" so i'm currently doing a test build of 114.0.1 with this (which just finished apparently) so it seems firefox is not a lost cause (if it runs anyway)
<beerman> i have no idea what the wasm sandbox does for firefox, but wasi is generally speaking web apps crap that most probably would want to sandbox when you run them. things like discord and other electron crap and the likes i assume
<r0ni> ahh I see. when attempting to build without the wasi pkgs installed firefox told me about the flag before it failed, so i researched it a bit before trying it. it appears slackware at least ships their FF package with the same flag set, so i've no doubt the build does work, but i still haven't tried it. I really need to setup a pkg sever for myself
