It works! Way to go everyone. I finally think I am getting the hang of things.
<set_>
..
<set_>
Hey.
<set_>
What does this mean: -bash: ./pwmsOne.py: /usr/bin/python3^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory ?
<set_>
I am on the BBAI-64 testing python3 files and I cannot use chmod for my files for some reason?

Hi, All. I have an BBB + LCD (and LCD cape). The LCD is working. I see the video. but touchscreen is somehow reversed. Lick if i try to press on the top of display, the click will go on bottom. This is only on Y axis. On X it is working fine.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
There is someone that can help me ?
<set_>
Have you tried to see what boot messages show (use pastebin.com to paste) when the Cape is attached?
<set_>
Also, in pastebin.com use gpioinfo and output that command.
<set_>
BeagleBoneB_LCD: Sorry, that came out wrong. on the bbb, type gpioinfo. That output from gpioinfo should show and please use pastebin.com to post that output.
<set_>
BeagleBoneB_LCD: I never got good at lxde environments.
<set_>
I am sorry. Maybe someone else will help more or in the forum.beagleboard.org forums.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
ok, there is a lot of information and a lot of steps. For the first i have to uninstall lxde right?
<set_>
No.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
do you think that it will help? my mouse is working fine(i am using also a mouse), I have issues only with the touchscreen
<set_>
Lots of steps, yes (sort of). If you want to have a working LCD and have the Cape installed w/ kernel 4.19.x, then put in the overlay in /boot/uEnv.txt, try xfce4 (maybe the minimal version first), and then report.
<set_>
I think this will work, i.e. as I have used other LCD Capes w/ xfce4 and they worked.
<set_>
I looked through your pastebin.com paste. I do not see anything odd (yet).
<set_>
You do not need lxde. You can use xfce4 but it gave me issues before today too.
<set_>
I do not have that specific Cape now. I am sorry.
<set_>
There is no way for me to really test it out.
<set_>
brb
<set_>
So, what I have done in the past w/ xfce4, w/ SD Card on the BBB and having a Cape, was this...
<set_>
apt update && apt upgrade
<set_>
apt install xfce4
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
df -h
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
sorry, wrong chat
<set_>
Right.
<set_>
Make sure you have tons of space, i.e. 500MB.
<set_>
at least.
<set_>
SD Card is preferable.
<set_>
Anyway...
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
i still have 2 gb on the SD card... when i install lxde it is take a lot of space. ....like 1.5 -2 GB
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
"lot"
<set_>
Oh.
<set_>
How big is the SD Card?
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
do you know what is the bigger SD card supported by BBB? can I use a 64GB sd card?
<set_>
32GB works for me w/ xfce4.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
right now i am using 8GB sd card
<set_>
Right. There are also minimal images available too. Bullseye images from beagleboard.org are available.
<set_>
I have not used lxde in three years for whatever reason. I think my server at the time was xfce4 b/c of input errors from lxde. They need help from what I saw.
<set_>
They need support.
<set_>
LXDE people need additional help, right, and I am not sure when or if they will update their current system set up.
<set_>
I think this may be the issue. I know nothing about LXDE right now and I failed out of their system years ago instead of making it work better.
<set_>
I could have pitched in but...
<set_>
Too much too soon!
<set_>
I see you have i2c-0 not being utilized. Is there an EERPOM on the Cape?
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
No, i dont thinks so, Maybe it is internal BBB eeprom
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
just finished this action, and a reboot, but there is no change,
<set_>
Do you have a XFCE prompt to sign in?
<set_>
or is it LXDE still?
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
LXDE is still here
<set_>
apt remove lxde --purge maybe. Again, I do not use the LXDE source and for a long time, I have not used it. So, I am kind of guessing here.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
I already tried apt remove lxde --purge before installing XFCE..
<set_>
That may be more valuable than the other pages listed.
<set_>
Something is wrong.
<set_>
My board froze.
<set_>
Oh!
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
mh, i tried a lot of combination, MY bbb see the lcd line "default" but when i try any rotate/ reflect the terminal respond me that output default cannot use rotate "parameter" and reflect "parameter"
<set_>
Wrong overlay...
<set_>
Hmm.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
on your enviroment?
<set_>
So no rotation and only reflection!
<set_>
Did you try reflection?
<set_>
Yea. I put in the 4-Inch_lCD.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
yeah, I recived same response
<set_>
I have a 5_Inch.
<set_>
Blah.
<set_>
Oh.
<set_>
Okay.
<set_>
Bear w/ me. I need to alter my overlay.
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
you know a lot of things about beaglebone
<set_>
Nope. I just have failed so many times, I learned something!
<set_>
Whelp. I do not think my Cape is any longer available to use.
<set_>
I will have to do more work on it.
<set_>
Blah.
<set_>
This means...
<set_>
1. I cannot goof w/ the settings. 2. You might have to wait for another person. 3. Be patient!
<BeagleBoneB_LCD>
ok, you already do a lot for me. Thank you. I also want to sleep. It is 1:12 AM on my place
