<Hammdist>
there must be a better way to install the headers that is git-based or something. no?
<Hammdist>
I mean rewind git to wherever uname -r is, apply all patches that were applied when building the armbian kernel, and install the headers from that
<Hammdist>
The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 54404762BBB6E853 NO_PUBKEY BDE6D2B9216EC7A8
<Hammdist>
I get the previous line just by doing apt-get update on a freshly mounted image with chroot
<Hammdist>
the image itself is a bit stale but should that matter so much?
<Hammdist>
will try with fresh cut
<Hammdist>
well now `apt-cache search 'linux.*current'` shows -dtb- and -image- but no headers
f_ is now known as funderscore
funderscore is now known as f_
<Hammdist>
ok trying the builder approach now. seems it's not feasible to get kernel headers for the binary image :/
<Hammdist>
I do humbly suggest including the headers in the image .. when you need them, you need them and it seems too complicated to maintain a system whereby they can be pulled down on demand

what is BTF build and how much ram does it require?
<Hammdist>
I get a message saying my ram is insufficient but no hint as to how much is actually required. since I am running in a VM I could increase the ram but I don't know to what value
<Hammdist>
can I just set KERNEL_BTF=no? trying that ...
