[Discord] <xmort> Wait but there's no new release out
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <xmort> I understand. I assumed that a release was maintained at least until the next release, but if the intention is that people building on top of armbian generally stay up to date with main rather than sticking to releases, I'll go that
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> It is maintained, but _best effort_ only. This is what we can offer due to lack of resources. Like most other, especially free, software it comes with no warranty whatsoever.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <xmort> fair enough

[Discord] <menu> this is normal for netplan.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <menu> i *think* it may be failing to validate the config, but i don't handle configng
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> we are trying the best. We freeze sources, but not packages. That part is still needed to be accoplished. This rarely causes troubles, but often enough
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> that is missing to 100% reproducibility

[Discord] <n4cnr> we have 4 fe-som-rk3399 with touch screens and the fe-som back plane. is there any inmg on armbian that supports the edp port ?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <n4cnr> or did edp never work in the armbian kernel
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <n4cnr> I also see its as eos ?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <n4cnr> why eos ?

Hello, I'm running Armbian Minimal/IOT Bookworm on a NanoPi R6C (RK3588). The minimal/IOT image doesn't come with Mesa/VPU extensions. Is it possible to switch to a version which has the extensions?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> you need to get server variant. that have this extension
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> we want to keep minimal "without anything"
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> you can easily build one for yourself if you need + mesa
<alimbada>
Is there any docs for that? I don't want to reinstall
<alimbada>
I was reading that 6.10+ and especially 6.12 mainline kernels have support for Mali-G610. So I'm guessing it's not as simple as using armbian-config to switch to mainline?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> vendor -> mainline kernel switching is problematic, no warranty that it will work, so try on some test target and open a ticket in case it doesn't work
<alimbada>
Alright. I'll try out building from source. Thanks
