[Discord] <arangaran> I'm sorry to bother you but anyone here really could lend me a hand and see if the standard kernel really doesn't have the /dev/kvm enabled? Cos that's why I'm trying to compile this, I have no other device

[Discord] <arangaran> i compiled this thing normally and it created a few debs in /output/debs i installed the linux-image and linux-headers and it wont boot anymore
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <arangaran> i have a backup of the whole sd so i can always return to the previous bootable one that works but has no kvm but everything else works perfectly, so its a bummer, i cant be doing something wrong if i just download from git, build with expert choose the proper board and only enable kvm why wouldnt it work i wonder, i think there got to be something either missing or whatever abou <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <arangaran> t the debs created i am installing only the linux-image and linux-headers but there are other debs, like dtb and u-boot etc. maybe thats it?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <arangaran> any suggestion is more than welcome, i dont have a penchant for compiling the kernel if the current one has kvm enabled and i could install it somehow i would gladly do that but i cant test that

[Discord] <arangaran> to add info which im gonna write in my personal wiki system and in the forums, but what happened as far as i have tested, i tried the most vanilla possible version for orangepizero3 without any kind of modification, current and also edge, the kvm module wasnt enabled, i enabled it in the kernel config, i got a pack of debs in /build/output/debs from which i installed linux-image- <clipped message>

[Discord] <arangaran> xxx and linux-headers-xxx and rebooted a few times to test it, also ran some light VMs on qemu and they worked fine, so /dev/kvm was present, nevertheless i crashed against a wall when i tried to install zfs-dkms, cos for some reason 2.2.7 from armbian.org compiles but then loading it causes some kind of seg fault in the kernel and hangs, i have a few backups now with the whole t <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <arangaran> hing without zfs but its a bummer, i tried also with 2.2.6 but modprobe -v zfs or modprobe -v spl crashes in kernel, so now the battle is how to enable zfs, im about to restore a backup with kvm but without traces of zfs and instead of installing it with app im gonna see if i can compile from source and see if that works, someone asked me if im sure that such a thing works on arm <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <arangaran> , but it should right? i have seen people asking about zfs in the forums seems that it worked at some point? anyways, any pointers could be good
