[Discord] <alexl83> Hi Guys! Trying to understand: is /etc/armbian-release overwritten at each reboot? I'm trying to jump branches current/edge but armbian-config stops freezing/defreezing kernel - if I update /etc/armbian-release it works, but each reboot I lose my changes

@alexl83, I am not sure that 'jumping branches' is supported. You are probably better off re-installing Armbian to be sure.

[Discord] <alexl83> Thanks, I suppose it's not, even though armbian-config allows jumping to diff kernel versions - I'm just curious to understand if any process overwrites armbian-release at bootup

If there is it is for your own protection probably. Also this is starting to sound like https://xyproblem.info/. :)

[Discord] <alexl83> it is indeed, just driven by curiosity 🙂
