<dutchfish>
hi, can someone help me. I have no longer network on my Odroid-N2+. Last update messed things up. i am on bullseye 23.02.2 nightly. I have no clue how to fix it without a network.
<dutchfish>
I do have a console, but i am worried to mess things up. Because i can not backup to an external usb drive. It won't let me mount it.
<dutchfish>
Any hints are welcom.

Werner: how do I switch to beta repo ? I am currently using bookworm?
<DC-IRC>
[Matrix] <werner:matrix.armbian.com> armbian-config can do that for you. There should be a point "nightly" I think
<yang>
Werner: anything else I need to do, after changing to nightly builds?
<DC-IRC>
[Matrix] <werner:matrix.armbian.com> Doing a backup beforehand is always a good idea and afterwards just a reboot.
<yang>
Do I need to install to/update boot loader?
<DC-IRC>
[Matrix] <werner:matrix.armbian.com> Not sure. If in doubt you can always load/build an image from trunk with a more recent kernel and try booting it from sd before messing with an existing system.
<yang>
Werner: Welcome to Armbian 24.5.1 Bookworm with Linux 5.10.110-rockchip-rk3588
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> Check with dpkg -l. My guess is that it installed the most recent legacy kernel from nightly it could find...which isn't really recent
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> Hm not sure how uboot handles this with multiple kernels. I had two branches installed in parallel as well at some point which wasn't intended. It somehow worked for me by removing all legacy (or any other unwanted branch) related packages and re-install the wanted ones, just in case something was gone while removing the others, like dtb overlays or something.
<yang>
Werner: I try not to break the setup, because it's on a nVME drive, which would be problematic to mount onto the new build
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> yeah. Mine was on NVMe as well but I guess I was lucky I didn't break it 😄
<yang>
Werner: maybe I need this linux-dtb-edge-rockchip-rk3588 - Armbian Linux edge DTBs in /boot/dtb-6.10.0-rc7-edge-rockchip-rk3588
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <Werner> Yes. You should (re-)install linux-image-edge-rockchip-rk3588 and linux-dtb-edge-rockchip-rk3588. Not sure if there is a newer uboot in edge and if so how to write it
