[Discord] <alkumaish> @werner that's what i thought.. it's weird that the module doesn't exist in the latest kernel.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> if you find out missing module or something you need, fork build framework and sent changed file as a PR. We maintain a lot more kernels then average linux distro https://github.com/armbian/build/tree/main/config/kernel
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> its not just "latest", its 75 differen kernels 😉

<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <alkumaish> @igorpec The thing is, the kernel's config is alright with all the necessary modules configured correctly. which is why I find it weird that the module was not included; hence my question about which package has it
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> module or it was build into the kernel?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> it should be in the kernel package unless there is something weird going on
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> everything looks fine. I think you only need to reboot as there was kernel update.

<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <alkumaish> Albeit I don't remember upgrading the kernel
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> If you did apt upgrade?
<Herc>
igor don't you need dist-upgrade for kernel upgrades?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> No
<Herc>

[Matrix] <schwar3kat:tchncs.de> tonyb_it - I believe that minimal builds have a reduced networking stack, not including network-manager. Perhaps this post that refers to WiFi but should also work for static IP will help.
