<Max1980> Hi there, i'm actually facing issues using a custm image fr rpi frm meta-rasperrypi. i was tryin t verride the cnfig ernel parameters ( cmdline.txt ) using first WIC tlader append ptin...ut it didn't wr. I have tryied using CMDLINE var in a linux...append file ....same result. everytime i can see in the lgs that "rpi-cmdline." is writing the cmdline.txt file
<mcfrisk> Max1980: check that your changes are effective with "bitbake -e recipe|image". that's what I'd do first.
<Max1980> it actually shws the WIC B00tl0ader append c0mmand...ut in run.l0g ...appear that rpi-cmdline has writed cmdline.txt file
<Max1980> ( dunn0 why when i write appears strange hex sym0ls )

<Guest61> does anybody have a idea why yocto suddenly says i have file conflicts on the sudo recipe with other recipes once i add this “/usr/bin/Linux_Daemon_ITS” to a sudoers.d/0001-user file?
<Guest61> without the addition it works.
<Guest61> But giving perms to the link and suddenly i have file conflicts with /etc/pam.d /var/lib/ and /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d

<dvergatal> hi there I'm currently updating my patches and I had Upstream-Status Accepted, but from whatn I have discovered https://docs.yoctoproject.org/contributor-guide/recipe-style-guide.html#patch-upstream-status there is no longer Accepted status
<dvergatal> what shall I choose than?
<dvergatal> shall it be Backport?

<luc4> Hello! I'm trying to use the cross-toolchin built with yocto. I'm getting this error: fatal error: GLES3/gl32.h: No such file or directory. Apparently this header is not in the toolchain, but is in the sysroot in several recipes. Any idea why it was not added to the sdk?
Xagen has joined #yocto
<JPEW> rburton: Ya that one!
<rburton> luc4: how did you build the sdk?
<luc4> landgraf: yes, I found that. I was wondering why that happens.
<luc4> rburton: bitbake meta-toolchain-qt6
Guest98 has quit [Quit: Client closed]
<rburton> yeah that's a terrible idea
<rburton> you're depending on someone else to define whats in your sdk
<luc4> rburton: I thought the sdk is supposed to include what I added to the image, isn't this correct?
<rburton> no, that would be 'bitbake theimagename -c populate_sdk'
<rburton> you've built the hard-coded meta-toolchain-qt6
<luc4> rburton: I read that builds a native toolchain for the target
<luc4> rburton: I'd need a cross-toolchain
<rburton> it does
<rburton> but it hardcodes the contents
<rburton> its not the sdk for the image
<luc4> rburton: so there is no way to create a cross-toolchain with all the sysroot included?
<luc4> Do I need to create it manually?
<rburton> luc4: bitbake yourimagename -c populate_sdk will build the sdk
<rburton> you might need to poke things to get the qt6 pieces integrated proper, no idea
<luc4> rburton: ah, sorry, I misunderstood what you said then. I will try then, thanks!
tnovotny has joined #yocto
<luc4> rburton: I was reading this: https://github.com/YoeDistro/meta-qt6/blob/yoe/6.5/recipes-qt/meta/meta-toolchain-qt6.bb. It seems that this meta-toolchain-qt6 already includes populate_sdk. In principle, what should I do to create a sdk that contains this and the rest of the sysroot?
sakman has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<rburton> luc4: i'd guess, inherit populate_sdk_qt6 in your image and build the sdk of your image
<luc4> rburton: ah, I see. I'll try then. Thanks"

<fray> Looking for a suggestion. I have a helper tool (running outside of the Yocto Project) that needs a few tools like kconfig-backends, and lopper. I want the tool to tell bitbake to build them, and then refer to the built version. I have vague memories there was a way to do this, but I can't remember the targets on how to 'install' kconfig-backends into a sysroot that the user can access.. anyone have
<fray> pointers?

<fray> Maybe.. I'm having difficulty finding documentation on how it's expected to be used
silurian_invader has joined #yocto
<Saur> fray: I haven't used it myself, just looked at the source...
<fray> it looks like usage is bitbake -c addto_recipe_sysroot <recipe>-native then call oe-run-native OR use the oe-find-native-sysroot to show you where it is so you can build your own pathing
