<PhoenixMage> I have some scripts and things in a tar file I want to deploy into my final image, how would I go about that? I tried using do_install to untar the files to the appropriate place and set FILES_${PN} but get uid errors that I cant get to the bottom of

<sudip> I am trying to check the error at https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/107/builds/4674/steps/12/logs/stdio but unable to reproduce it locally with a build of qemuppc, log.do_compile_ptest_base does not show any error. am I missing something in the setup?

<jsmith847> Are the non-git yocto project download servers (like sstate.yoctoproject.org or downloads.yoctoproject.org) slow for anyone else? I'm seeing average download rates top out at between 100 kB/s and 250 kB/s for my downloads from them.

<paulg> Finished a core-image-minimal build (on master) and then remembered I wanted to disable ptest.
<paulg> Added to conf/local.conf
<paulg> DISTRO_FEATURES:remove = " ptest"
<paulg> Nothing. NOTHING else changed. rebuild says...
<paulg> Removing 61 stale sstate objects for arch qemux86_64: 100% |#####| Time: 0:00:04
<paulg> Removing 221 stale sstate objects for arch core2-64: 100% |######| Time: 0:00:04
<paulg> Does that make sense? If the sstate cache is shared with another build that remains using ptest?
<paulg> Maybe a stupid question. The sstate-cache is largely a mystery to me.
<paulg> I treat sstate-cache like downloads ; I symlink in a toplevel dir that is shared across multiple builds.
