I want to clean out DEPLOY_DIR_IMAGE and recreate it, is there a way of making that happen? Is it as straight forward as removing the dir and rerunning bitbake <image> ?

Lately I have this problem during image generation: pseudo mkfs.ext4 -F -i 8192 [...]/rootfs_root.2.ext4 -L root -U 7a4cbffd-28b9-4ca4-935a-58385933b867 -d [...]/rootfs returned '139' instead of 0

any off-top ideas about why installing a sub-package from a custom packagegroup would cause another sub package of that packagegroup to be installed as well? it's fixed by adding the entire packagegroup-mygroup-* to PACKAGE_EXCLUDE_COMPLEMENTARY
<rburton>
barath: sounds like a bug in the packagegroup :)

<barath>
hm yes
<barath>
but it's very bare bones :D just a PACAKGES = " ${PN}-pkg1 ${PN}-pkg2 ${PN}-pkg3 " and then stuff like RDEPENDS:${PN}-pkg1 = " iperf3 "
<barath>
then if I include PN-pkg2 I also get PN-pkg1
<barath>
I'll figure it out, just wondered whether someone knew that there was this one rookie mistake everyone makes with package groups :D

Don't packagegroups only RDEPENDS on existing recipes? (Using PACKAGES in the packagegroup recipe feels weird to me)
<yocton>
Just checked, and I'm wrong, it's fine.

when installing an SDK generated via bitbake <image> -c populate_sdk should one first manually remove the previously installed SDK or just run the script again?
