<hexdump0815> just installed a debian system based on the postmarketos kernel, firmware, ucm files etc. on an asus grouper and all seems to be running very well: wifi, bt, sound - thanks a lot to all involved
<DavidHeidelberg> hexdump0815: have you considered join with Mobian effort?
<DavidHeidelberg> having first armv7 devices running on Mobian would maybe also prolong Debian support for ARMv7 (and as I recall, they actively thinking about dropping 32bit ARM, since no devices)

<hexdump0815> DavidHeidelberg: i think i'm missing time and energy to enter mobian - also i think grouper might not be that good of a device due to missing gpu support which makes using any more modern ui quite complicated
<hexdump0815> are you sure that really debian considers dropping armv7l? i know that fedora is cancelling it - but debian? they even still have i686 around :)
<DavidHeidelberg> hexdump0815: well, there is bilion of i686 devices still running today, but armv7 servers was dead-end and there isn't much people (expect pmOS) who runs armv7 HW
<DavidHeidelberg> I think that Dmitry works on GPU, so it'll be functional at some point

<nergzd723[m]> The last i686-only CPU is like what, Pentium 4? i686 is the real dead end xD

<DavidHeidelberg> I think Core CPUs, then some Atoms
<DavidHeidelberg> Core 2 was x86_64 I think
<DavidHeidelberg> I assume industrial computers with i686 are still produced
