<_whitenotifier-e> [scopehal] azonenberg 6c3a4f1 - VICPSocketTransport: added tracing
<_whitenotifier-e> [scopehal] azonenberg 5dd20e3 - LeCroy: if MSO channels are enabled within a digital group, but the group is not visible, don't mark the channel as enabled
<_whitenotifier-e> [scopehal] azonenberg 8f2acf9 - ClockRecoveryFilter: do not apply larger correction when we run several cycles open loop, use same bang-bang correction

<azonenberg> Assembled first AKL-AV1 prototype
<azonenberg> Beginning to test
<azonenberg> So far: pulling 78 mA @ 6V, 300 mV DC offset with input floating and zero trimmer at factory rest position
<azonenberg> with trimmer maxed out, still has 90 mV offset
<azonenberg> So my zero adjustment works, but has insufficient range. interesting
<Degi> Hmh, whats the schematic?
<azonenberg> Degi: it's on github but tl;dr 100 ohm solder in damping resistor, then 5:1 5M ohm R-C divider
<azonenberg> then BUF802
<Degi> Ah I see, if thats single ended yeah that probably has high offset
<azonenberg> yeah. i added a simple pot based offset trim circuit that didnt have enough output current to null the offset fully
<azonenberg> (not using their fancy composite loop architecture, at least for now - the recommended opamp is a soic8 which is HUGE)
<azonenberg> and then i had to add another 800 fF in parallel with the input compensation cap
<azonenberg> which, even maxed out at 750 fF, did not have enough capacitance to flatten the response to the point i wanted
<Degi> Oh wait, BUF802 is a proper buffer, thought it was a JFET
<Degi> Ah I see, the amp has -600 mV offset on average
<azonenberg> Yeah
<azonenberg> it is a jfet input stage
<azonenberg> but has high offset that isnt nulled internally for whatever reason
<Degi> I thought it was a single JFET, as it sounded like something out of the BFU transistor series

<azonenberg> @louis really wishing i had annotation tools in glscopeclient now lol
<azonenberg> it would be super handy
<azonenberg> but i need the screenshots marked up *now* not in a few days after i have time to write the code
<azonenberg> I guess this is going to move up in my list of priorities though
<azonenberg> Right now it looks like i'm going to be between clients at work next week so maybe i'll do it then
