<leah2>
hm, why does my ruby install have /usr/bin/irb.lock etc
<konsolebox>
leah2: Distro-specific maybe
<leftylink>
damn, kind of a pain to ljust/rjust/%#{width}s a string that contains ANSI escape codes for colours
<leftylink>
I guess what I usually do is I use the ljust/rjust/%#{width}s on the string without the colours and then have something else add the colour in after... will have to see if that strategy can be applied here
<leftylink>
hmm. that's a definite maybe. I think I thought of a reason I couldn't before but it was a bad/invalid reason
<leftylink>
okay I guess my thing was just weird because the text to be given colours might contain a varying number of words, each of which I want to give a different colour... I'll just have a thing that tkaes the whole array and a width and does the right thing
