iCE40MX16 has 1912 PLBs, but the icecube has "1920" written in "total PLB" stats field in whatever database it's using
<Wanda[cis]>
so if you use 1913-1920 PLBs, sbtplacer will spin in circles forever trying to fit your design, believing there absolutely should be some space somewhere

Wanda[cis]: Sounds like the marketing department made a decision here :D

mmm
<Wanda[cis]>
it's interesting how the SB devices have a different... vibe from xilinx
<Wanda[cis]>
even ignoring the toolchain and RE approach differences
<Wanda[cis]>
xilinx is just much more regular
<Wanda[cis]>
while SB just kind of stuffs things wherever
<Wanda[cis]>
like, I can still fit it all with prjcombine grid model, there'll just be a lot of one-off tiles for each device
<Wanda[cis]>
reminds me of gowin
<Wanda[cis]>
... probably will have to use a similar approach, in fact
<Wanda[cis]>
(I wonder if I'll have to take back "xilinx is just much more regular" if I ever start looking seriously at whatever the fuck is going on in versal)
