<phryk> just an aside, but why does linear_extrude create tris instead of quads as faces?
<phryk> looks a bit weird when you have edges highlighted because pretty much everything else is made from quads…

<InPhase> Oh, and twist.
<phryk> https://paste.xinu.at/3EY/ many progress such amaze
<phryk> i think i'll have to redo the top boards tho. needs more structural support and the screws to fix modules into them need some recesses… then of course add all the pins and screws to the desks, not just the modules and THEN go build the ruler component i need to properly display/visualize measurements… :'D

<phryk> InPhase: markers for the grid, was just looking real quick if i can make it actually line up easily – turns out, yes. :)
<phryk> i.e. in the finished designs they will be holes, or markers for where to drill holes to mount modules.

<ToAruShiroiNeko> Hello.
<teepee> hi!
<othx> Welcome teepee!
<ToAruShiroiNeko> I am trying to figure out how to attach liquid cooling to my TJ11 case. It seems like I need some sort of brackets. I own a 3d printer but I am unsure how to attack this problem.
<teepee> what's tj11?

<ToAruShiroiNeko> Ack]
<ToAruShiroiNeko> that was not my intention.
<ToAruShiroiNeko> sorry
<teepee> things happen :)
<teepee> oh, fancy big tower case
<ToAruShiroiNeko> Old case. I bought a new GPU which does not fit in my proper case.
<ToAruShiroiNeko> On the bottom part you can remove the drive caddies.
<ToAruShiroiNeko> And instead put the liquid cooling instead. I am trying to figure out what I can do to create a bracket that would house the liquid cooling radiator.
<ToAruShiroiNeko> It needs to be somewhat sturdy.
<ToAruShiroiNeko> How should I approach this?
<teepee> I guess the first question is if the printed parts can be kept away from anything that gets more then just a little bit warm
<teepee> understanding the details is difficult without seeing how the different pieces look like
<teepee> I probably would try somehow to place things somehow with whatever stuffing material is around to see what orientation and positions can work
<teepee> I suppose for liquid cooling there is also some restrictions on how to guide the pipes through the system
teepee has quit [Ping timeout: 258 seconds]
<ToAruShiroiNeko> It should not get very hot, that is the point of the radiator. :D
<ToAruShiroiNeko> I am trying to convert the screw holes on the bottom of the case with the sideways installation of the cooling component.
<ToAruShiroiNeko> I can perhaps provide measurements?

<Friithian> if I had a nickle for every time I've seen someone flood a channel with a base64 encoded image I'd have 2 nickles
<Friithian> if you print ABS you wont have any issues with temp
<teepee> probably, but might be a pain to print in that size, or so I have heard
* teepee never printed ABS so far

<InPhase> PETG is easy to print and works up to 85C compared to ABS's 90C.
<InPhase> Unless you slap it right on top of an overclocked cpu or gpu, that should be plenty sufficient.
<InPhase> It prints about the same as PLA, just you put about 20C or so more on the extruder temperature.
