<InPhase> JordanBrown[m]: std::map::count IS contains since there are no duplicate keys. It's just misnamed and the wrong return type and completely baffling to me why it was ever added in the first place.
<JordanBrown[m]> I know that it's *equivalent* to contains. But as you say, it's not really a match.
<InPhase> I bet the implementations for contains and count are identical in 20, or one calls the other, and it's just a cast made.
<JordanBrown[m]> I had guessed that it was inherited from some more general container class, but it seems not.
