<lehel> hello group, can i get help here ??
<jybz> lehel: it depends.
<lehel> i think i bricked an nrf53840 dongle, was trying to change the bootloader to adafruit
<lehel> i made a text file with the steps i tried, can i paste here ?
<jybz> lehel: Don't paste there, paste it online and give a link
<jybz> (like : cat ./yourfile | nc termbin.com 9999 )
<jybz> Should not be bricked. I hope someone can help you there.
<lehel> i hope so, the red led is not flashing anymore, can i post my problem on github too ?
<PaulFertser> lehel: what tools do you have?
<PaulFertser> What github project do you mean?
<PaulFertser> lehel: it's good you keep the log of your steps
<PaulFertser> lehel: no, issues are not reported there. And I think yours is not an issue. What bootloader are you writing and how you plan to interact with it?
<lehel> i am trying the pca10059_bootloader-0.6.2.zip from https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_nRF52_Bootloader/releases
<lehel> i would like to try circuitpython
<lehel> about the tools, i have a raspberry 4 :)
<PaulFertser> lehel: ok, judging by your log you're all set and good to go. How do you plan to talk to the bootloader if you manage to flash it successfully?
<PaulFertser> lehel: try to run the "reset halt; flash write_image erase /path/to/file" command again.
<PaulFertser> And show the output
nerozero has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds]
<lehel> if i flash the bootloader after the reset, there should be a drive visible where i can copy the uf2 file from https://circuitpython.org/board/pca10059/
<lehel> one moment
<lehel> for the reset part i got: target halted due to debug-request, current mode: Thread; xPSR: 0x01000000 pc: 0x00000a80 msp: 0x20000400
<lehel> the result of the flash write_image is the same
<lehel> Flash write discontinued at 0x00025de8, next section at 0x000f4000; Failed to write memory at 0x4001e504
<jybz> 0x4001e504 isn't it a big number ?
<lehel> if i run the flash write_image i get Failed to write memory at 0x200006c8
<PaulFertser> jybz: probably flash is mapped there
<PaulFertser> lehel: but it's not the same, in your paste flashing failed at address 0
<lehel> the Failed to write memory at 0x200006c8 is changing
<lehel>  0x20001b08, 0x200006c8, 0x4001e504, 0x20001e70
<lehel> and the Padding image section changing too with every try
<PaulFertser> lehel: probably just try lower adapter speed?
<PaulFertser> Padding image section shouldn't be changing though.
<PaulFertser> lehel: please use some pastebin to show full logs
<lehel> lowered the adapter speed to 500
<lehel> i think its worked
<lehel> lowered to 100 and the verify was successful
<jybz> \o/
<lehel> its blinking:)  thank you very much for your time
<PaulFertser> I wonder why so low speed was needed.
<lehel> maybe the connection, wires
<lehel> thank you again, have a nice evening
