< rcurtin> zoq: any issue if I release an ensmallen version today with PSO and the exact objective computation?
< rcurtin> I think callbacks still have a little while longer until they're ready, so no hurry on that
< rcurtin> and if we release two versions in two days that's okay with me because the release process is so easy :)

< favre49> In an infuriating turn of events, my laptop seems to have stopped working suddenly. It might just be a display issue, though I have a bad feeling it's worse.
< favre49> I'll try and take it to a technician tomorrow, if that doesn't help I'll use a friend's system. I'll definitely be set back though
< favre49> Sorry about this, I'll try to get back up and running as fast as possible
favre49 has left #mlpack []
< zoq> favre49: Ohh, hopefully, it's really just the display, maybe it's a good idea to make a backup just in case.
< rcurtin> I remember one year losing the display of my laptop at the mentor summit, it really sucked :(
< rcurtin> favre49: good luck, hopefully it all goes okay

< zoq> rcurtin: Have you ever tried to work on a phone only? Since you use mutt on the phone, vim should be the next plausible step :)
xiaohong has quit [Ping timeout: 258 seconds]
< rcurtin> zoq: I already do that actually :) but mostly I only code on the phone when I am in transit, like on a train or something
< rcurtin> I can't say it is particularly great, but if I have to leave my desk but was working on something, vim+phone lets me get at least a little more done :)
< zoq> rcurtin: Impressive, and if I remember right you don't have a huge phone.
< rcurtin> yeah, it is not particularly large
< rcurtin> a phone is much better for code review than for coding... and it isn't really that great for either :)

< favre49> zoq rcurtin Thanks, I'll keep you updated as to my status
< favre49> rcurtin that's amazing, you code on your phone? It sounds like a pain, how do you get it to work?
