<linkmauve>
There is a workaround described in this issue, it would be useful if you would test whether it fixes it for you on ngl, and then link the two issues if it does.
<josch>
linkmauve: that sounds like my issue. My gtk4-demo looks just like yours.
<josch>
linkmauve: just like for you, hovering over the invisible buttons makes them show (but still glitchy)
<josch>
i'll try running it with GDK_GL_DISABLE=base-instance in a bit and report back, thank you!
<linkmauve>
josch, if it works, you can close your GTK issue as a duplicate for that Mesa issue, and link to it in the Mesa issue so that the Panfrost devs are aware it affects more than one user.
<josch>
linkmauve: the gtk issue is not opened by me though
<linkmauve>
You can comment in that issue about the Mesa one then.

linkmauve: i observed an oddity. The issue indeed goes away with GDK_GL_DISABLE=base-instance but it does *not* with GDK_GL_DISABLE=base-instance -- do you have an explanation for that?
<josch>
sorry, copypaste error
<josch>
it does not go away with MESA_EXTENSION_OVERRIDE=-GL_EXT_base_instance
